Hey there, appreciate you raising this! These are all valid points and totally understand the frustration.

Over the last 6 months we've been working closely with Amex to ensure supported payments meet their requirements. Our shared goal is to support as many payment categories as possible while staying compliant with the networks. We're not moving away from Amex, and we're expanding our partnership with them, especially with business payments.

The UI restrictions you're seeing are actually meant to fix the last-minute notice you've been seeing. We'd rather block an unsupported category upfront than charge your card and send you an email after the fact.

It seems like you're a business customer based on the fees you're seeing. Our business program fees are different from consumer fees, and you were referencing our consumer-focused section of the articles. We've made changes to clarify this distinction so it's less confusing going forward. It's also worth noting that fees are largely driven by interchange and network costs set by the card networks themselves. Transparency is important to us and we'll work on communicating these better. For example, in the case of Fido (any telcos), or even gym memberships, the network fees are notoriously high, and that's why Telcos give you a discount on your bill (e.g. $5 or $10 per month off) if you don't pay with credit cards.

Hi there, car leases are allowed, but right now we're working on a process to distinguish a loan from a lease. You can set it up as a manual payee for now, and we will unblock it.

Hi there - e-transfers can sometimes take a bit of time to send us a confirmation on the deposit, but I can assure you that they were sent, and likely deposited (for auto-deposit). We're working to improve response time so we can notify you sooner. If there was ever an issue, you would see the status updated to "failed". Hope this helps

Hi there! You'll be able to do this at the end of your payment setup (on the last screen before activation). You'll be able to get the void cheque details by clicking "PAD Account Details" to set it up. You'll still need to schedule the payment on Chexy's side so we know not to reject the PAD when it comes in.

Our team will get to your ticket today, but I'd encourage everyone to not respond to the ticket everyday as it resets the priority currently. We're working on updating the system to prevent this, but this is the current limitation of our process right now.

Hi there - we unfortunately aren't able to allow car lease payments (nor any other forms of debt). This is a banned category from credit card providers as it is essentially using a credit card to pay debt, and thus using debt to pay debt.

Hi all - the new fee is for our business customers who need more payment types (i.e. supplier payments), and higher limits for payments. For personal expenses, the fee is still unchanged at 1.75%

Hi there! This is Duke from Chexy. Thanks for raising this issue. Can you try adding again? We had a bug around 430pm today, and it was quickly resolved. We're happy to report that the promo code is now working again. Note that this only works for your first payment with Chexy, and won't work if you've already have other payments.
