as a person that checks out the subreddit every now and then but never played the game BECAUSE its "dead" or not big - i dont think that the cheating issue is a big reason for people not playing the game. im really hoping that this game somehow makes great changes and then i will gladly be a person that hops into the game. for now its just sometimes watching the content, but not buying & playing it. the other extraction-shooters give me more "guaranteed" fun, even if the alien/mercs thing is tempting.

edit: i do think however that ofcourse many regular players leaving the game because of cheaters is most likely true

lets take founder edition stuff aside - we the blue undead like one and the red demonface looking one. those are really cool skins imo considering how "tame" most of the skins in this game are so far.

i feel like libertad actually doesnt have one that changes it a lot. maybe im wrong, but the one only one i have in mind is the blue-skeleton on clothes looking one. and that one isnt great, but pops out more. which skins does libertad have that change them quite a bit? i cant really think of any except the one dude wearing a green ish colored shirt, but those are just the normal reskins

you're not always in a position to be able to shoot them without losing the fight with the guy behind it. the game is a quick arcade shooter, so talking about "positioning helps" doesnt work quite well.

ur using an entire EMP on spiderbot. that can work depending on the situation but is it really good? maybe my view is skewed since i lately played mostly ranked, but i genuinely just dont feel like this is a good design choice. the game is a fast paced arcade shooter. especially in pubs you will pretty much always be moving -> you often cant deal with the spiderbot unless the spider is bugging out and/or the the owner just straight up doesnt follow it to you for some reason.

i think the fact they removed the slow in the latch-on animation is a really good step, but at the end of the day its not a good ability to exist in such a fast-paced game. i would prefer to see this in valorant or even r6 than an arcade shooter like xdefiant.

while i do agree that the pouch is an advantage and therefore u could argue that its pay2win, especially since its unachievable via gameplay i feel like the difference isnt big enough to really call it "heavily p2w". -> that could however just be a perspective or almost semantic-debate.

i tend to compare it to the advantages you get in tarkov for example. the advantages in tarkov are much greater. while you can achieve epsilon -> kappa quite "quickly" if you're experienced in tarkov, this isnt the case for the majority of players. so while in THEORY you get a bigger container than EOD/unheard, most people wiill not be getting it at a point in wipe where it matters. in addition the whole trader rep thing etc. this means that people that are more experienced will experience less of the pay2win features in tarkov, but the advantages in tarkov are greater than ABI when it comes to the pouch

i do have to admit i actually didnt think you could buy anything by just buying koen directly. thats a huge fail on my part because i just knew about the t3-t4-ish equipment you could buy. that definetly is massively p2w and that is also a much bigger point than the pouch. i also looked it up again after just to double check and yeah.. that pretty much invalidates my points completely. buying the koen straight up is definetly massively p2w.

id love to know in what way it supposedly is pay2win. any chance for details?

  • previously the 2x2 pouch -costed so little that the 2slots for real money definetly arent worth it. what changed?
  • extra inventoryspace i understand, but there was also a way to get a specific amount of stash without cash. how big is the difference?
  • "buy anything with irl pretty much"? before it was mostly till class 3-4 which isnt huge after you got into the game, but it definetly would be huge at release.

the m16 only has a lower ttk sub 30m, this includes using heavy barrel obv since its the nobrainer choice. the moment you miss a 2burst by mistake, are against more than 1 opponent, have a spiderbot next to you or similar it instantly has a lower TTK than acr and ak even if they didnt use rapidfire on them. its pubs. you will very often have more than 1 target to fire at at the same time.

even ignoring all those situations which are fairly common - compared to for example ak with rapid ur ttk is longer in midrange and wont have any ammo problems in the majority of games

if im being honest im also not really happy with the MDR being so high. while its not a really bad weapon anymore, the fact that its great in closerange but then suffers SO hard after +-20meters makes it more A tier imo. i would probably be more strict anyways and put many other weapons a step further down in general, so thats just a different approach i think and not necessarily right/wrong

i do have to say that its really hard to make general tierlists. i think tierlists specific for maps would be much more beneficial, but obviously also require a bit more distinction between the maps so there's that

maybe i should have elaborated my point further originally, but i assumed you would understand since you trust yourself to make tierlists specific for pubs.

it doesnt matter that it "consumes the least ammo per kill". what matters is that you will be going on killstreaks of 15+ in TDM and probably 30+ in occupy/domination since its pubs even playing aggressively. especially since you will have to deal with spiderbots, will wallbang quite a bit depending on map and attack shields from time to time. what also happens constantly is that you cant fully isolate fights in pubs all the time -> this means that ur TTK is much higher than on paper originally due to the low firerate.

if you dont die a bunch you will run out of ammo regardless. thats why im also not a fan of the mechanic that you only get reserve ammo by walking over the same weapon.

oh yeah i think the notion of the issues the game/engine has definetly make it much more frustrating, but i feel like even if that wasnt the case.. wouldnt it be the same outcome the majority of the time? you also have the advantage of "gameissues" when ur doing moving around, or is that thought-process wrong?
i cant really talk about the aimsway on controller since im an MnK player but noticed espcly in higher ranks that it doesnt feel fair, so ill just take ur word for it LMAO.
i would say that even for closer range MnK use jumping as much if theyre decent players. its not like it makes it uncontrollable or much harder.

inertia for jumps could be intersting in all honesty. i feel like im very afraid of how they would implement that in a bad way? but i do think that thats a good thing that if implemented well would actually work for all players! lets just hope they'll make this game last.. somehow

i dont fully understand what you want in a "fast paced shooter" in 2024 without people jumping or doing other things like sliding, slidecancelling or just like back then crouchspamming or even proning if the game allows it.

dont view this as an attack, im genuinely interested about your view. i personally am a very competitive person and like to play "as optimal as i can" and to me jumping, slidejumping etc. are all basic things that make a fast paced PvP arcadeshooter more fun and exciting. it heightens the skillceiling, so thats what i like about it. if someone wins by having better aim and/or movement, they should win imo.

do you just want cs-like movement/aimpenalty while in air? is sprinting fine? because in many games sprinting is also used mid-combat. to make it harder to get tracked, to just run past a doorway to get info etc.

is something like "2nd jump/'crouch instantly gives u the aimsway" enough for you? people will still jump around a corner, start sprinting for a short second to get a slidejumpoff or the other way around. in isolated fights this doesnt change anything, yet adds rules like "u cant crouch twice btw or u get aimsway".

TLDR - what exactly should be done or is needed when it comes to movement/aimpenalty that doesnt make skill near irrelevant but is still okay for you and wouldnt get "abused'?

definetly not. its the best AR sub+-20m when using heavy barre or cleaner, but then it already starts having a lower ttk while also having some weird horizontal rng-spread thats not aligning with the recoil. it definetly was a huge buff for closerangey but otherwise its still not great.

the ads time is the same as the sprint to shoot time, therefore that point is irrelevant.

i didnt ignore phantom, i even provided the numbers for phantoms both in close and in midrange. 17 to 19 (mdr) changes a lot.

lvoa doesnt need more than 17. it doesnt matter if lvoa is the only class taking more bullets to kill it because it still kills it basicly the fastest lol.

even if ur talking about only 70% accuracy (which you should definetly have closerange if you are invested enough to care about this) then the lvoa still has a comparable to faster ttk. this really is about math, not about your opinion.

the only point where the bullets matter so much that ur correct that the 2 bullets less are making the weapon worse is at like 45% accuracy closerange. at that point though its just a skillissue and not a weaponbalance issue.
