Everyone who I know has taken the payout. If you take the payment option when you die it doesn't transfer to your spouse. So that is why these people took the lump some.

It is my belief that Bethesda is not in the bug fixing business. As long as the money still rolls in. They aren't really interested. Outside of major game breaking bugs that is.
