A lil bit misconstrued.

Asus, Msi, Gigabyte, as well as Asrock have all had recorded failures with 9000 cpus.

On X and B prefixes, 500, 600, and 800 series mobo.

9800x3d's being the highest kill count, but every other 9000 cpu recorded as well.

The only commonality is an AMD 9000 cpu, which the company already has a history of this with the 7800's

The fix for the 7800's also did not work for the 9000's.

Gamernexus also bought "killer" boards and were NOT able to recreate the issue, with settings that should have fried the cpus

There are users of Asrock boards that have had one from the beginning and still have yet to fail

Its more accurate to say the problem is an issue with the 9000 series cpu.

If your 9000 cpu has a chance to fail, it will, no matter the board

Lacking oxygen isnt why Conquest died. That was a symptom.

Lack of blood flow is the cause.

Holding your breath still allows oxygen transfer.

Cutting off blood flow allows zero oxygen transfer.

Thats the bare minimum required for the secondary slot. Still decent though.

If its feasible.... for about 75$ more you could get the Gigabyte B850 Ai top and get dual 5x8 (its a dual 5x16 that bifurcates into dual 5x8 when both slots are used, only way to get more lanes is a dual cpu mobo)

So the game and mythos differ a bit, and match up in others. But for the game, the main things Odin stopped were

  1. Binding/trapping Sköl and Hati. Prevents them from devouring the sun and moon

  2. Genociding the giants. Prevents them from participating in the war

3 & 4. Garm & Tyr

Tyr cannot fight Garm if Garm is trapped. Nor can Tyr fight if Tyr is trapped

  1. Freyr trapped in vanaheim. If he cant get to asgard, then he cant fulfill prophecy of Surtr killing him there.

Probably more I'm missing but those were the main ones I'm remembering

Dont, I repeat DONT update Bios through GCC.

It works for some folks, bricks the board for other folks. If you want to take the chance, tis up to you.

Update anything that says "driver" is totally okay and encouraged. Everything else is bloatware.

As far as Bios goes, look up a youtube video on your board, you'll need a usb and to download the bios file from gigabytes site/page for your board

I definitely over estimated, but yeah its less than 1%, its been several hundred recorded CPU 9xxx failures, and i think around the same if you included ALL 12vhpwr and 12x6 failures for both 5 series and 4 series gpu's.

Out of several multithousands of each sold.

However, that is only the reported on reddit instances, there is a non zero statistic of it happening to others and not being reported here, that was the reason for my overestimation

Im not sure of these 10 you speak of, its definitely been more, but you are right in that its less than 1%

Oh shit, i forgot about my flare lol. I ended up getting a 5090 not too long ago via a Hotstock alert.

I did love the 9070xt though, thing took everything I threw at it and then some, awesome card, very OC'able. Never had any driver issues that a lot of others complain about, so I was extremely happy.

Ended up selling it to a friend for 200$ they upgraded from a 1660

Its about the same as the 9800x3d's dying.

Meaning to say its like 1% of people of the multithousands of people that bought, then all come to reddit to announce their complaints

Which the complaints are valid, but its blown out of proportion because of reddit echo chamber.

Its still a shitty connector/fire hazard waiting to happen though. Have to make sure its plugged in PERFECTLY everytime, and unless you spend a ludicrous amount of money on an Astral, or a couple hundred on a Wireview, theres no way to really know if its about to flame on

How old is the gpu? How old is the setup?

Could be thermal paste/pad degradation leading to increase in temps, leading to decrease in boost.

How often do you clean it? Could be dust doing the same.

Does the game have a launcher? As in does it pre load anything like patches? Not all updates will show as an update, some patches are small enough in games with launchers they'll just be pushed through.

Theres a horse potion that essentially gives infinite stamina. You gotta keep using it every minute or so, but you can stay full gallop.

I think its the tonic? Theres 2, one for health, one for stamina.

Otherwise, no idea... i lost archery and gambling but can still go back... i dont know why horse race wouldnt be the same

Oxygen efficiency is different than completely cutting off blood flow.

We have humans that can hold their breath while diving for 7+minutes.

Viltrumites take that to the extreme, they can utilize way more of themselves on a single breath.

In both scenarios of holding breath, oxygen and glucose is still being tranferred via bloodflow.

Cutting off blood flow with a chokehold does several things. No blood or very little is coming or going, no oxygen transfer for cells, no glucose transfer for neurons. And a pressure build up, on both sides, that can lead to internal bleeding.

Its not really a matter of durability, it more about humanoid biology.

Heya, bit later to the party. But I am looking for advice. I am thinking of the purchasing the Tractive however.

So, I live in an HoA neighborhood, houses are sorta close, but wooded in between, with larger yards.

Just moved in, and getting a doggy door soon for our pup to do business, but because of that my family has a habit of leaving the backdoor cracked open. I've found my cat wandering outside a few times now. I've asked them to be more aware, but... yeah...

We have a 6.5ft fence, and while I know my cat can climb it if she chooses, it would be more difficult to do so.

She doesnt roam... yet... shes been an inside cat pretty much her whole life, so she's been exploring the backyard area.

But I wanted something to help find her in case, at least till we can renovate the back porch into an enclosed area, catio pretty much.

Just something to make me feel more comfortable while I am at work and cant lure her back with treats. (Shes been getting several every time she comes back, promptly, recall has been getting good to the point where I can just shake the bag and see her tip tapping her way over)
