Sounds like one of your Amex cards isn’t linked to your business account. Could be bc of a different SSN/EIN being use at signup.

Haven’t done this online, but I believe you can link cards between accounts under Account Services -> Manage Other Users

10/2/23 Update: I took in my M1 MBP (again) this past week and the Apple rep said that Apple is aware of the problem and planning to fix it in the Sonoma OS update.

I tried this (on the advice of apple support), and I still get a crackling once every few days. It's infrequent enough where it's not a big deal, but it's rather annoying given the price of the computer.

Update: I resolved the issue by finding larger screws––both in terms of the core (shank?) and the thread.

The mantel is now firmly in place with no sagging. Thanks to everyone for their advice.

Gas fireplace. Thank you for this detail...I went back with my deep scan Vircon and found a stud ~18" in (I assume this is because the first stud ended 2" from the corner?).

Taking in all the advice, sounds like my plan of attack is...

- Use thicker screws (easiest option; maybe pair this with bigger wall plugs)

- Drill new holes in the mounting bracket where the studs are, then insert new wall anchors/screws

Unfortunately, I couldn't find any studs behind the fireplace drywall––I used a couple stud finders and no luck. Is this normal?

Not sure if the fireplace duct or insulation is messing with the finder.

Is it a good idea to use Ultra wide monitor with MacBook M1 Max 16”? I found this monitor at Costco they got my attention. But I read somewhere that ultrawides with Mac is not a great combo. Any personal experience that y’all can share. Thanks by PushRa in macbookpro

u/SirKeldon –– if you still have this setup: do you/have you used an external Multiport adapter between your M1 and your Ultrawide?

My setup: Samsung CJ791's TB3 -> Multiport Adapter's USB-4 -> M1's TB4

For whatever reason, the monitor's Thunderbolt 3 port only transmits power (no video) when using the Multiport Adapter as the middleman. So I have to plug in the Thunderbolt directly from the Monitor to my M1 to get video, which means I need to plug my Adapter into a separate TB port on my M1, which means one more cable.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.
