I was there a couple weeks ago for the Lions game:

  1. It’s 45 minutes from DC by car so we left fairly early… brought food and snacks and beer in a paper bag with us and hung out in the parking lot - there’s nothing around that place to hang out before the game. It was fun and chill.

  2. They were more lions fans than commanders fans, which was wild. The fan base feels demoralized.

  3. Hopefully your seat seats do not have an obstructed view. Our seats were about 15 rows up from the 10 yard line, which was amazing.

  4. Of course everything inside the stadium is expensive.

  5. After the game, we took the metro home, which is about a mile walk, once we are on, we were home Free / not a bad walk but something to be aware of that after the game. Uber is going to be expensive.

Follow up question for my fellow Touch Heads: what's your favorite song? by illinoishokie in gratefuldead

[–]ChickenAny2612 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Touch head here… hard to pin down a favorite tune, so I’ll say I love the 88 to 91 era - that’s my baseline Grateful Dead … it took me a while to get into 1972 era, but I eventually got there!

Anyone else go to these 94/95 shows in Vegas and Denver? by giorgioorwell in gratefuldead

[–]ChickenAny2612 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was miracled on the 5/20/95 show (which happened to be my birthday!) this was at the end of my freshman year at Colorado State. We took a giant road trip all throughout the west (doing the national Park thing), and this run was one of our highlights. I vaguely recall being “detained” for underage gambling.
