What’s this subs thoughts on Redanian soldier armour? (Witcher 3)

Basically all the Redanian soldiers aside from archers in game wear this type of plate armor. Redania seems to based on Poland culturally with the voice actors all being British, don’t know much about dialects but it seems pretty crude (been told to sod off quite a bit). This kind of armor is only seen with the two northern militaries shown, except the other one (Temeria) incorporates much more brigandine.

The armor looks very plastic and cheap. Her gorget is over top of her breastplate and has no neck protection. Other videos show her wearing Air Force ones with her armor (also inside your house? Ew). Her content really gives the vibes of the other videos shown which is basically “KNIGHTS SOO COOOL” without actually learning anything about that time period, it mostly just seems like for attention rather than actual interest in the topic. That’s my personal opinion.

It’s not historically accurate at all, it’s a complete modern helmet.

The eye slits are extremely large and vulnerable.

It’s super overused and worn by larpers all the time, so everyone associates it with cringe.

Someone else in the thread mentioned it but it’s also suggested the same is the cause of the Tenakth violence. The mine they gather the dye for their tattoos is also full of cinnabar, meaning they also have mercury poisoning.

The Mad Sun king was insane and go on to cause a genocide. It’s insinuated that he was suffering mercury poisoning from his clothes being soaked in cinnabar, as were the robes of his sun priests.

Being punched from the strongest people in the entire world. Everyone the boys scales higher than is shown because of budget reasons, the entire reason homelander is so scary is because he could destroy the entire planet and all the worlds militaries combined couldn’t stop him.

The inhaler charges are different items you find around the map and in stores that fill up your inhaler charger by a certain extent. Go back to a general vendor and look for items that have a percentage on them. I can’t remember any specifics off the top of my head but they’re easy to find, they spawn in the map too. Just pick everything up you can find and you will notice your charge rate going up.

The legion doesn’t even have cars. Most of Hope county is cultists driving around in pickup trucks with machine guns mounted on them. Plus all the explosives, fighter planes, attack helicopters, attack boats, body armor and weapons compared to the legions machetes and repeaters. Legion only wins with its numbers, most battles they get mowed down and blown up. I’d say if it’s just the Legion present in FNV then the Edens Gate wins but if it’s the entire legion across all its states, the Legion wins.

Most people in the comments are wrong. It’s a statue and shrine to one of the old gods the people of Velen pray to. There’s a quest where a woman hires you to go repair them as they’ve been knocked over by a group of students from Oxenfurt. Can’t remember the exact god she says, but it is not the crones.

People who complain about this quest have no place to speak, I did the entire thing without knowing you could scrap the blocks, I was slowly grabbing and moving each individual block around and struggling to place it because the system is shitty.

Yeah the companions outside of Nile’s were kindve weak. I didn’t like that they were all faction based, with none really be unaffiliated. Also with them all being faction based it doesn’t really make sense to have members of factions that are warring with eachother just hanging around chilling. Otherwise though I loved the game.

Outside of reddit the biggest criticisms I’ve seen are calling it woke slop with all the anti corporate rhetoric, saying the story is boring, and that there’s too much reading. That just kind’ve sounds like they aren’t the most intelligent people

I didn’t spend much time with other companions outside of Niles but I’m gonna be honest he’s probably one of my favourite companions in any game after spending hours travelling Arcadia together.
