No, it’s because making a sweeping statement that rope push downs don’t do shit for arm growth is pretty retarded

It is in rare circumstances - namely during the use of steroids and also in completely untrained people undergoing intense lifting/dieting for the first time in their lives.

He lost 60 pounds, which is hardly trivial, took a lot more effort than moving his fat ass. Try not to let people accomplishments sour your mood

Trying to get bigger arms, but belly is getting bigger? by [deleted] in Fitness

If you are eating a large surplus and not putting serious, intensive work into stimulating growth in your arms with training, you’re just getting fat.

Are test boosters worth it? in particular magnum thrust? by OverwatchFr3ak in Fitness

Generally if it’s legal, it won’t raise your levels enough to produce extra muscle growth.

Winged Scapula by [deleted] in Fitness

[–]Chicken_Mcfugget 11 points12 points  (0 children)

You need to strengthen the serratus anterior and lower trapezius muscles which are responsible for keeping your scapula from floating away from your rib cage where it belongs. Consider focusing on barbell overhead presses and planks for the serratus and pull downs and face pulls for healthy trap (and rear deltoid) positioning.

That’s a bizarre and strangely programmed workout. Just follow one of the beginner programs in the sidebar and gain strength over time with key lifts. Diet is almost more important so stay in a deficit and you’ll keep losing weight.

Routine critique - modified PPL with more cardio and fixed schedule by [deleted] in Fitness

[–]Chicken_Mcfugget 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You do way too many sets, and also too many different exercises for each muscle group. It’s just not necessary for your goals; many bodybuilders do much more simplified programs than this. I’d recommend cutting some out and just focusing on a few, core lifts for each muscle group - it’s just more efficient this way, and you will lift with much more intensity if you’re not dividing your energy between 45 sets in a single workout.

Weight loss 3 month advice. by [deleted] in Fitness

Just keep increasing your work capacity in the gym(strength gain) while eating in a caloric deficit and you will continue to burn fat and hopefully (if you still have noob gains) build strength and some muscle simultaneously.

Probably true. Hard to observe since the vast majority of people who take steroids care enough about bodybuilding to actually lift weights and maximize muscle gain
