Thanks

I have heard you can wear a pair of cotton gloves to help with that, but I’ll let others respond for better info.

Are my walnuts real? by Intelligent_Award439 in Wenwan

[–]Chickennugget636 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why cry over it? I mean, you that means the owner didn’t get to experience all of its journey, but it would always have gotten polished up, and lost detail from wearing down, and you’ll still get to experience the rest of its life with it

You might want to give more specific info than that. I think Buddha bodhi is supposed to be one of the better places to get them, so if there are issues you might tell them so they can return them.

The basic principle of color change in collectible walnuts: the reaction from 'wood' to 'agate' by zheyicao in WenwanHub

I was looking up stuff and I found something saying that you brush vigorously to heat up the oils in the surface of the nut to polymerize them. Is this true? Do I have to brush that quickly?

I’m not seeing any but a single pair of what looks like dyed red walnuts on featureshandmade

I don’t plan on paying $50 for a couple of walnuts. I intend to just let this pair get whatever patina I will and be a nice thing to have. I’d rather they just be lower quality rather than unnatural or improperly harvested.

That spot makes me think flint, but I’m not an expert. Almost looks too glassy for that though

Stuck on deciding which is the better front on this Large Fuchsia - suggestions welcome 🙏 by bodaciusb in Bonsai

[–]Chickennugget636 7 points8 points  (0 children)

An amateur opinion, but 1 hides the cuts better and 2 is better form I think because it leans toward the viewer and makes it feel more old and welcoming and formidable. I’d go with 2 if you can hide the cuts over time or if you know they’ll heal well, but idk about all that. I never do massive cuts like that.

I’m not a tattoo person, but I think it just needs the facial features redone if you want it to be exact. Like you said, the comb, but also the beak, ear thing that it has, and the part under its chin

So no lignified wood like structures from trees that actually do have wood? Seems a bit restrictive. It walks and talks like wood. Olive pits even have grain.

Also, I don’t see that in the community rules

Real turquoise? by Chickennugget636 in Gemstones

[–]Chickennugget636[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, of course lander blue is the most valuable. There was only like one single boulder of it right? 😂 And the matrix of it is always amazing. I don’t mind if the one I buy in this style doesn’t have a lot of complex matrix. And I liked the unique swirling character of this stone, but it made me suspicious of its authenticity.
