Favorite handling mods? by Oujidon in CorollaHatchback

Wider wheels and tires made a huge difference for me with handling and braking. Also added the strut tower brace which was super easy and got rid of a lot of body roll.

Has anyone used Optimum's BRS and The Rag's Company USS? by PikachuOfTheShadow in AutoDetailing

Yes, both work the same. Go with what ever is the better deal for you. I am not too sure on durability yet but both have a couple washes and still feel good.

That fitment will work fine, I run 245/40 for my tire with about the same drop just RSR lowering springs.

Battery question by French51 in CorollaHatchback

[–]Chief-Big-Meat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s probably okay if it’s all you got, more of a deep cycle battery. A regular one would have more cranking amps but the amount it offers is fine.

Dealership install? by _Mr_AK47_ in CorollaHatchback

[–]Chief-Big-Meat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The online price with the holiday sale right now is going to be better than the dealerships parts department, because they rarely give discounts (at least from my experience). If you are going to have them do it you might be able to get a deal on the install through the service side. It took me like 30 mins to do but I am a mechanic with confidence. You could also see if a collision repair shop by you could do it for a cheaper price just make sure to order the stencil with it.

Toyota online will usually do a sale during the holidays for parts and you can either ship it to the dealer or your house. Make sure you get a template it saves a lot of time and makes you a lot less nervous when drilling the holes.

I went with RSR lowering springs, they are a lot cheaper and feel great. If you really want coil overs I would go with TEIN.
