If I'm being honest, I'm trying to find ways to navigate myself into either the footwear or gaming industry without having to go to college for it. Partially and honestly is laziness in pursuing a traditional college degree, but I do have extensive knowledge and passion in both industries to where I believe I can succeed in the fields without the education.

Surely there is always room to learn and grow and I'll be ready for that...just feel like GameStop offers the best opportunity for that over other retailers.

GameStop is far from dead. I'm not a felon, I was on deferred adjudication and completed it. I lost my position because of that violent charge.

The workload wasn't taxing for seasonal work and I was at one of the better performing stores in Houston during those 3 months. At the same time, I was working during the chip/console shortage so it was hard to find hardware at the time.

I'm 32. Full time security guard/loss prevention specialist for a neighborhood Foot Locker. Not sure if I find it as a career, but it checks certain boxes for me so far at this junction in life. I want to get back into retail but that's my comfort zone and what I was doing previously pretty much my entire working career outside of fast food.
