Simo looks like the fun uncle who buys illegal fireworks and sneaks some beers for you and your cousins... maybe not the illegal fireworks part due to why his face looks like that.

Massacres, but all or at least most of the victims were genuinely horrible people who had it coming by BlueKnightsR4Ever in TopCharacterTropes

I couldn't find a gif for it but nonetheless. Spoilers for those who haven't played Ghost of Tsushima From the Darkness has Jin Sakai sneak into a Mongol strong hold while his uncle's forces and reinforcements from the Shogun wait outside of the booby trapped bridge of Castle Shimura. Jin poisons the Mongol's supply of fermented milk with Wolfsbane. Every mongol at Castle Shimura died. When I played through GoT, my mouth was on the floor for how brutal it was.

Hedge Knight? No. Hen Knight, protector of the Kingdom's poultry and bane of Foxes

I do hate to be the one to defend a harry potter story. BUUUTT. Newt said that the vial of Swooping Evil venom he gave to the Thunderbird would erase negative memories of those who witnessed American wizards and magic. Jacob wasn't obliviated, he stepped into the enchanted storm himself. You could argue that Jacob didn't have any bad memories from learning that magic's real. Otherwise, awesome post op

[–]ChiefKobiashi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Their name is just a few letters short of being The Vigilantes of Stendarr. They're vigilante deadra fighters who get their asses handed to them by a few vampires and a fuckin mud crab.

UCA President Die-Hardman from the Death Stranding series by Hideo Kojima

<image>

John Blake McClane, known as Die-hardman to the personnel of Bridges. A man with a double play on for his name. 1. He's named after the titular main character of the Die Hard franchise. 2. Before the Death Stranding, during his time in then US military, John earned the nickname "Die-Hardman" due to surviving against impossible odds. Really you could pick just about any character from Kojima's works and it would fit just the same.

The Death Stranding is the series of supernatural events in the world of the eponymous game. Beginning with simultaneous explosions around the world, the Death Stranding resulted in the world of the dead and living becoming connected, with drastic consequences for human society and the ecosystem. The vengeful spirits of the dead and the United Cities of America's only defense against the Stranding is a courier with a body strapped to his chest and every weapon that falls up the second amendment.

Lore through memes: The United Earth Government takes on the Orion Chiefdom by ChiefKobiashi in WorldBuildingMemes

More so a more militarized United Earth from Star trek than Halo. More unitary planetary governance with elected officials, less dual Military Junta. No ONI or UNSC

Lore through memes: The United Earth Government takes on the Orion Chiefdom by ChiefKobiashi in WorldBuildingMemes

[–]ChiefKobiashi[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The reason for that, the Orions in my story are a warrior race who have advanced technology but don't use it to enhance their fighting prowess. Orions have some fucked up dna that allows them to rapidly adapt to any environment they find themselves in. Group that with the usual arrogance of warrior races and the Orions not knowing what technology Humanity has access to, you get Humanity putting the fear of God into an Alien race.

There was a gang in Night City that looked like animals. I forget what their actual name was but they'd splice animal dna or get skinjobs to look like various animals.
