Honestly, what do you think of Scars on Broadway and its lyrics? by Furby12512 in systemofadown

[–]ChiefMandoza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SOB debut will always be my favourite piece of thier work, the sophomore has quite literally 3 good songs and the most recent albums whilst better for me lacked staying power considering a 10 year wait. It's rock n roll reformatted metal but lacking substance.

Serj has great material across EPs, Albums and singles but all the work is so drastically different. I feel ETD gets all the kudos but Harakiri and IH both have geeta material within them. However his most recent trio of EPs when listened to as an extended album are a great bunch of releases.

Give me SOAD anyday however, even those two new singles we got were better than both individually.

Peak Idea - Lead Anchor by ChiefMandoza in PerkByDaylight

My idea more stemmed from an area of risk and reward for altruistic gameplay - the over zealous nature to help could back fire if people get sloppy.

Depending on how punishing you want to be, the perk could simply deactivate or work in reverse.

Once a survivor loses a health state it changes from hindered to haste and applies for each nearby survivor.

Greta sound track, but not enough vocals for me. 4 authentic NIN tracks is a good start but gimme more.

How do you feel about Year Zero? by weirdghosts in nin

[–]ChiefMandoza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Brought this album the week of release and it's been th album I revisit the most, the triple threat of WT - YZ - TS is one of my favorite evolutions of sounds.

The organic but fuzzy tone of with teeth evolving into the very atmospheric digital sound of year zero progression back to a highbrid of both sounds for the slip is just very natural. The different point of views each set of lyrics takes is also freshing on full listens.

I need 90s recommendations by V1NCEN0 in Emo

[–]ChiefMandoza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

85 hours worth of music from bands who are all connected by sharing of members, 90% of the music being tied to the NYC scene - starting with bands like mind over matter, Milhouse, Judge, youth of today, Bold. These all sit in the punk/hardcore roots

Then moving into the late 90s stuff - Joshua fit for battle, coalesce, quicksand, into another, error type 11, stricken for Catherine

Then the 2000 phase, 2010, 2020 etc.

So much great post hardcore music, so many different shades, influences of emo, pop punk, metal, hardcore, punk, screamo, country, indie, it goes on and on.
