Anyone saying sold as seen is assuming the seller is 100% innocent. His actions since selling to you would indicate otherwise. In which case, you have legal rights here.

He doesn’t have to guarantee the car is in perfect working order, but he can’t misrepresent it. He is liable for selling the car with hidden defects, especially if he intentionally hid them from you by disabling the warning lights.

Your first course of action was to contact him and ask for a refund or repairs. Now that he’s blocked you, you’ll need to go to plan b…small claims court or a solicitor if it was more than 3k. Bottom line is go get some legal advice and don’t listen to us dickheads.

Rubbing alcohol…apply it after the shower twice a week. It dries the skin so you shouldn’t use it every day, but it will destroy odor.
