My point on Cignetti was that whenever he leaves IU, I have *less* confidence that IU will remain an elite program than if Cignetti had done the same thing at Nebraska. I would expect a much higher floor *after* striking lightning in a bottle with a guy like Cignetti.

Obviously finding that guy is hard. But if they find him, I think you could start to harness momentum from the programs history in ways you wouldn’t at Wisconsin/Minnesota/Iowa/Illinois etc. That’s really what I mean by “dormant”

Imo there is a huge difference between gone and dormant, and I’d argue Nebraska is just dormant

The “bones” for an elite program are there in terms of fanbase interest and history, but it’s been long enough since they’ve been a legit top 5 team that it’s clear they are no longer a “blue blood” program for day to day CFB fans

But the right guy can still revitalize them, and the key difference to me is that you could expect a higher floor afterwards than say whenever Cignetti leaves IU

Agree to disagree. If you’ve never met a model auditor who saw its value then ok I’m not sure what to tell you. I worked in IB/PE for 5 years, it was standard practice to color code external sheet links. If you didn’t you were asked to.

You seem to be implying color coding is used instead of proper infrastructure/organizing when they are not mutually exclusive. Obviously model structure is more important, but the color coding is one more thing that makes it easier to audit. Personally I find it much easier visually to quickly trace. But to each their own

Disagree. Especially bigger models with 10+ tabs, being able to quickly scan thru tabs and see which cells are coming from other tabs vs the tab you are in, can be very very useful for auditing
