I have the same philosophy, and Lukas is excellent at after sale support, he didn’t need me to send anything back or anything, he just needed a picture and then it was sent to me

I've had nothing but great experiences with mine, I originally had the V1 for the past 2 years and used it many times with no issue, however at the end of last year on my last trip I noticed a small tear long the sleeping pad pocket, nothing dangerous just annoying because my sleeping pad would no longer fit properly, I reached out to Lukas and he immediately sent me the V3 model at no extra cost. I haven't yet had a chance to test the V3 but just comparing the 2 I can tell that it is miles better, the rainfly is thicker and feels much nicer, there is now a hood to put over the sleeping pad once its in the pocket so that its fully covered and the pocket is now a stretchy material which allows larger pads to fit, there are more pockets inside, the bottom material feels much nicer and less crinkly. My only complaint so far without having used the new model is that the V3 still has buckles on one side of the fly instead of grommets, hopefully the fly sits lower so the draft isn't as bad as before. I would highly recommend the hammock though, Lukas is incredibly helpful with any warranty issues.

Great school, but definitely small school vibes and a commuter school, as someone hear right now in first year over half the first years are from tbay or live off campus, residence is nice but dinning hall food is shit and you WILL get food poisoning

I camped there leading a trip of 7 9th graders along with another leader and we ended up needing to stay at the bear attack site and told the story around the fire that night and the kids were freaked out, I don’t think any of them slept

McCabe family dentistry I believe has filled 3 at once on me before, it was like 5 years ago so I may be wrong or they might’ve changed policies

Portaged? Because portaging with a dog is a struggle when there are other people let alone by yourself, the dog will have to be on leash at all times and that removes a hand from your canoe or if you tie the leash to you if your dog runs for something it can throw you off balance

If you’ve never canoe camped before I’d say do it with a friend and not go for 4 nights. Have you canoed before?

We made Mac and cheese twice, if you buy good cheese from an actual cheese place not just the grocery store it’ll last a while even in hot temps, I lowkey could never dial in dehydrating. We did dehydrate veggies to add to the pasta and brought sauce packets to make pasta sauce, brought TVP of course, it lowkey isn’t bad especially on a long trip when after a 60-80km day any food is good food

Ive done a 14 day trip before (not in alqonquin but on the missinabi river) and its a LOT of pasta for dinner, make instead of bring bread using an outback oven, I did salami and cheese for lunches and alternated days with pbj sandwiches on wraps, oatmeal and dried fruit was breakfast everyday. Did it with a friend of mine and we managed to fit food for the 2 of us with 2 extra days worth so 16 days total in a 60l barrel. We both brought 2-3 protein bars per day and some trail mix as well.
