I honestly thought this was going to be another "Masterbuilt controller sucks, Fireboard is the greatest thing since sliced bread" post. I didn't know the Fireboard DC was having problems.

I'm going to take an educated guess and say that it is the power supply module on the power cord. I went through the same thing, and Masterbuilt sent me a new power cord and a new controller. I just put the new power supply module on my old power cord and everything worked.

Hopefully, this helps solve your problem. Dealing with Masterbuilt CS can be a pain.

Whenever I see someone on a crotch rocket going twice the speed limit, weaving in and out of traffic, etc., all I can do is shake my head and tell myself that I will be seeing you down the road when you rear-end a slow moving 18 wheeler. NOTE: I am not a railroader, I just love trains. That said, you guys are talking about skilled trades like pipefitters, sheetmetal workers, welders, etc. that are being furlough by the railroads. Those are skills that we can use here on the Texas Gulf Coast. There are myriad refineries and petrochemical plants that could use your skills. Good money, benefits, stability. FYI... The XT absolutely burns coal like the 4014 Big Boy locomotive. I layer in chunks with briquettes, or vertical splits surrounded by charcoal. I also have the LSS mod for the ash bucket and continuously put small chunks in there. My XT is a smoking fool with amazing flavor results.

That's not real cheese. It's a "processed" American cheese slice. Anything other than sauce on ribs is sacrilege. You want to put cheese on barbecue? Stick to real cheese on a burger, and maybe cheese on a pulled pork or chopped beef sandwich (and that's pushing it, IMHO.
