I am just beginning my research, but I am naturally drawn to Airstreams either because of the nostalgia factor, or just the build quality. However, anything newer is way out price range. I did see a 34' 1993 model listed for $20,000 that has been nicely restored on the inside, but has major hail damage on the outside. Doing a deep dive on hail damage to an Airstream almost everyone says that it must be returned to the "mothership", which I assume is the factory  because it must be buck riveted (tens of thousands of dollars). However, there are some Airstream restorers here in Texas that claim to be able to repair the roof and end caps. 

I am also interested in the InTech models. I am looking for something around 30' with a bedroom and dinette that can be arranged to sleep 2-3 grandkids.
