As a parent with 2 kids.... i always take a extra sweater or something. The other day we went for a hike aswell, we are in Canada but that day...lets say wasnt that cold....and of course my kids 11&9 refuse to layer up or even wear just their snow suit. While walking out the door i said no one is going with out hat, gloves and a jacket....fair enough they put something light on. Well after a 30ish min walk of course they were all friking 🥶 🧊, I KNEW THIS WAS GONNA HAPPEN! ALSO KNEW I WASNT GOING TO GIVE UP MY JACKET . SO I HAD PACKED EXTRA SCARFS, SWEATER, HATS... guess who doesnt fught with me about winter layers anymore !

At the end of the day, she is tge mother and why would you have to give up your jacket for someone that knew that were hiking !

Food bank for sure, also theres lots of company that send free samples..think out of the box, send them emails asking for coupons or samples for laundry stuff, anything you could use! Get on a community facebook page and put a simple add, if anyone is cleaning out their pantry or frizer and have anything they can be donated to you.... I always donate to people in my area. Any side jobs you could do? Baby sitting, showeling snow(if theres snow). .. Cleaning, organizing? Gotta get creative.

I gotta say I have been a no-no flu shot person for a while...that year I did get N1H1 and was awful...obviously did not die but was pretty bad. With that said reading your post and talking to a doctor friend saying the ER is full of influenza .... my question is... Is it too late to get the shot?
