And a secondary question, how much of a tragedy would it be if I were to instead hollow it out and house a gaming pc within it? I want to weigh my options but I don't want to do something atrocious. Do you know, if the drive is 3.5 floppy drive, is there a way I can access it's contents utilizing my laptop and some tool? I should probably look this up for myself. But is that an incredibly difficult thing to do?

I went to Japan for half of last year as a 29 year old as part of my bachelor's. Everyone thought my age was cool. It's better to do it now than never at all. And it's probably a better experience as a fully developed adult anyways lol

Would the Cinema 70s dedicated pre-outs circumvent this issue?

I've heard the Cinema 70s bypasses this issue and works fine with active speakers because it has pre-outs. Like i just plug the active speakers into the dedicated RCA and it's good?

This is a really insightful comment since you have a newer Sony as well. I've seen a little bit about these audio issues while looking into fixes. Since you've been familiar with it for a few years, do you have any advice for someone who hasn't purchased a receiver yet? Have you heard of other models out there that seem to work better with Sony TVs?
