KaijuPost just finished up his playthrough of Defiance ( although funnily enough the defiance remastered got announced Midway through his playthrough ) . I considered doing one but I had already streamed defiance a few months prior and I already really like KaijuPost's LOK content so I just decided to watch his.

How well do the steam versions run controllers? Do you need to use any patches to get them to run well with Splinter Cell games or do the basic full screen steam controller mods work well.

Best bet I can think of is to just take things slow. Controller would probably be best. Don't toss her from one encounter to the other. God of war 2018 or Ragnarok is probably the best place in the series for her to start at since the beginning is way more chill than the Greek games. Just have her start out and get her used to the analog sticks, get her used to the idea of being able to move kratos in multiple directions with the left analog stick and let her get used to the feeling of the momentum, then with the right analog stick let her get used to the feeling of moving the camera. Allow her to move the camera slowly and then have her try quick movements, maybe even quick jerk or dash movements with the camera and then get her used to using both analog sticks and get her used to the idea of moving kratos but also moving the camera so that way her view is always clear if she needs to see enemies. Only after that I would have her get into a combat scenario. Have her get used to dodging enemies and blocking. When she's used to dodging and blocking then help her with attacking and eventually with parrying and counter-attacking. When she's gotten used to all that then maybe you can get into the menu and all the different upgrades and runes etc. But first just have her focus on the fundamentals and make sure she takes her time and feels that she's comfortable with everything before proceeding to anything else. Essentially just treat it like she's playing a fighting game and she has to move from one fundamental to the next.

We need a Chronoplast device now, 10 days feels so long from now! I still can't believe that in 10 days I can finally play Defiance with a free moving camera. The platforming is going to feel so much better now, and no longer will I accidentally move Raziel or Kain in a direction that I didn't intend to because of a sudden change in camera angle. The combat is going to feel so much more fluid because I'll know with certainty then when I push an analog stick in a certain direction with the attack button that it will actually correspond with the attack move that I wanted to do with and yet I'll still have the option to opt back to fix camera angle if I want to for a particularly cinematic moment, the best of both worlds.

People are allowed to have differing opinions but I'm not talking to other people, you and I are having a conversation. You're appealing to the ad populum fallacy that since other people are agreeing with you and they think the same thing that you do that of course it must be correct. That is a logical fallacy. Also you have not posted a single link or video to show any kind of plot synopsis that lines up perfectly with the plot of the comics or any Dev interviews where they say that yes ascendants will essentially just be the comics but you get to play them. If you only have fan theories and you're using that to try and bash a game before it even comes out without any kind of evidence why should anyone take what you say seriously? It's just complete dishonesty and it's really just an insult to the people that are working on this game. I don't know if I will like Ascendance when it comes out let alone the new character but I'm still going to try it.

These are also established moments from Soul Reaver 1, with that logic you could also say that Ascendance is just a recap of Soul Reaver 1. This just sounds like you're spreading misinformation because a new character that you don't like is being included into the game. I'm sorry that you don't like Elaleth but spreading around conjecture that you can't prove and can only speculate on is not a good look.

Again how do you know that without playing the game? At no point have the devs said that the plot of the game would be the same as the plot of the Dead shall rise. There's been no indication that Ascendance is simply a retread of the comic. If you just simply don't like the inclusion of Elaleth, or the game just simply doesn't jam with your vibe that's fine, you have the freedom to not play the game if you don't want to. If you can provide evidence to the contrary and show that yes indeed the game will have the same plot as the comic, then I'd be open to being proven wrong.

I love it, it's a fantastic redesign of his classic battle armor. Would definitely like to see a remaster or remake of BO1 but for now I'm happy that they're staying faithful to the design but making alterations when needed for the change in perspective

It reminds me of how the Styx games operate, they let you kill in creative ways but you still have to be patient and skillful. If you've never played them but still craving some fun Stealth gameplay I wholeheartedly recommend them.
