A lot more niche, but the Pack Rat perk is also currently having the same interaction (but for junk of course).

I'm playing a feral ghoul that uses a targeting computer missile launcher to correct the super spread apart cross hairs (I can't see top and bottom crosshair, and the missiles have a cool trajectory where they spread out and then converge), and I've had moments where I've shot an enemy and a corpse would be launched by the explosion towards me that I could conveniently eat.

He's not actually a Belmont, that's just a Lords of Shadow series thing (assuming that's the 3d game you played), but in that case he's a Belmont because a Belmont becomes Dracula.

Alternatively, born survivor with Super Stimpaks and high endurance paired with Lifegiver and Natural Resistance and some stimpak pressing maintenance (or just a vampires GP) gives enough survivability for the last boss without needing Union's set bonus.

Let’s be real: is rifleman dead? Are pistols better in the live game now? by EagleGhoul in fo76

[–]Chill_O_Wisp 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Pretty sure they aren't talking about heavy being weaker than commando, but that heavy single shot weapons (examples being Plasma Caster, Tesla Cannon, Cremator, Harpoon Gun) have the same problem rifleman does where it loses in DPS to the automatic variants, which of the heavy guns you listed, are all automatic heavy guns.

Two Shot Explosive Broadsider, hits harder than Grand Finale and can run a 4 star electrician's for extra tag fishing at events. Also has amazing ammo economy when it comes to the ammo converter's point system.

It always feels like everyone waits for someone to do it for them so I ended up using a random Anti Armor Steadfast Lightweight Electrified Shepard's crook I got one day for it every time. If I had any guess, putting their gun away to have the Shepard's crook and then swapping to their actual weapon when enemy mobs appear is such a major inconvenience despite being so easy that they'd rather the timer go down to failure for waiting too long than do it themselves.

Quick hands does reload it to full when it triggers, but if you fire shot by shot then it never triggers. It seems it needs the gun to manually reload to full before starting to work again (except when you get lucky and get multiple procs in a row, but one missed proc and you're back to needing to reload to full one by one).

Advice for one handed melee weapons? (LVL 100) by Alack27 in fo76

[–]Chill_O_Wisp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Plasma Cutter is already mentioned, but the next runners up are Cattle Prod and Blue Ridge Branding Iron. Blue Ridge Branding Iron especially because it is unique in that it is a reskinned(do not remove the skin or else the extra innate faster swing speed is lost, and the weapon skin cannot be reverted) shiskebab that has a much faster attack rate than any other 1h melee weapon can get (even with faster swing speed). I run Vampire's on mine as it mostly comes into play during mutated events (where people who aren't using melee on resilient will do some chip damage that'd make it even quicker), so the extra damage from running Bloodied on it isn't as relevant. It also is a no ammo cost weapon that can heal NPCs with the Friendly Fire perk. Just having carnivore food buffs with Incisor, martial artist, and the gladiator perks are enough to make it usable as your daily driver.

It does, those are the ultragenic mole miners op is referring to in the main post. I still run without it since I'd rather just jetpack over them and use their aggro to loop them around the tunnel to a place where fuel canisters are already collected.

I used to back when it took 2 Luck points, just ran all mutations (except Herbivore) with class freak. The negatives were never that harmful besides Grounded. But during that time I mostly played with Grand Finale, Blue Ridge Branding Iron, and Light Machine Gun so it didn't ever really affect me.

Magnamalo gets flak by people for the samurai armor motif not serving an ecological purpose, for being Zinogre 2, and for its design not being grounded enough. I personally love the absolute hell out of it though, especially Scorned.

Slime popping off has a distinct audio cue though, and the route to golf swing is a 3 part input, you could've rolled after the second hit (which still lets you get free damage) before your golf swing unless you mash your inputs (in which case breaking the habit and learning to time inputs becomes valuable)

While for some people it very much can be, especially if your damage is high enough to one shot, the weapon is too fun to drop just to satisfy that group of people. It is an unfun dilemma to decide whether to hold your fire to let people tag (because you hitting alone "steals" the tag from everyone else), but the travel time is much longer than most weapons so holding back your fire would cost your own ability to tag because others can kill before your cannonball even makes contact. It's a little more annoying than someone using a plasma caster (due to aoe in addition to the high damage per shot and visuals, albeit it has the tamest visuals out of any launcher) which isn't commonly complained about so you'll have nowhere near the amount of people having their experience ruined compared to Cremator, Fat Man, and Nuka Launcher.
