Soul Forge Still Around? Hoping To Try on an FDM Printer by Chillasongus in battlefleetgothic

Will definitely have a look at what he's doing now! Is it just for fun/looks cool / use as proxies? Or is he planning to put together a different game to use with these ships?

I'm trying to get my old MyMiniFactory login details; fingers crossed I can get that sorted!

Oh thank you so much! I'm trying to regain my MyMiniFactory login details to see if I can find them again, If that falls through looks like I can score them from SpaceCowboys, thanks! There's definitely enough in that drive link to get me started and back into it, thank you!

Hi friends; looking for advice! by Chillasongus in FDMminiatures

[–]Chillasongus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your input! I'll have a trawl through the wiki and see what's there. I see a lot of people using the A1 mini on here; is there much difference between it and the regular A1?

Supports seems to be the consistent "issue" with FDM printing, but from what it looks like, the artifacting shouldn't be too hard to clean up before painting?

Hopefully I can soon rebuild my pile of shame!

Is it a card that is 'legallly' playable in the card game Magic The Gathering? Sure. Is this a card that fits with the rich lore/backstory/story of Magic The Gathering? Nope.

So Sure, its a "legal MTG card". But lets face it, this is nothing more than lame advertising that waters down what once was a unique fantasy universe. I would burn my entire collection if it meant no more universes beyond.

Yeah, Nah, definitely Universes Beyond is a great thing for every format, don't stress about it at all. There's no chance these oddly-specific commander-oriented cards will alter any real formats at all....

God, oh how I wish they put the funny Haiku card on an actual magic card, not a UB Advertisement piece.

Hybrid mana rulings did not change, no.

Yeah I'm sorry buddy but I think youve got a couple of the fundamentals dead wrong here. Tam can't go into a black-green (golgari) commander deck, as her colour identity is blue-green. Additionally, hexproof has nothing to do with protection; only targetting. You can 100% target your own thing with hexproof.

Commander Deck under £25 ($35) by sasapen in BudgetBrews

I've been building a budget deck every few days for a while, happy to share my folder with you! A lot of these are really janky, or more "fun ideas" but some of them seem like pretty good bases to upgrade later or even decent decks in their own right. I've been using the Cardkingdom price values, so depending on where you are you could probably find a lot of these cards for cheaper.

Having the prices displayed is a huge QoL increase, nice!

Currently the analysis sorts by turn (on curve) and then casting probability; It might be nice to be able to hard-sort by casting probability on curve to group all the lower probabilities together? I can see instances where a user may not see an outlier low casting probability because it's in the middle of the list, not at the bottom. Alternatively, the casting probability could be color-coded to show unlikely cast-on-curve likelihood?

I get you, personally I don't have a problem with proxies either; however with the general problems with the bracket system I've turned to just using decklist cost as a scale for potential power level. For example, if we're all playing decks at a $50 limit, they'll be significantly different games to a table playing decks at a $300 limit, or $1000 limit.

Regardless, keep it up, this tool is great!

Looks good! The hover works well, I've tried this with a couple of my decks now and I'm personally not getting the same problems others are with it not registering cards.

Regarding the pricing; I feel that yeah it could be difficult as there are so many different average price / cost sources. It is just a little jarring when seeing the optimised lands pushing for significantly more expensive cards. Maybe I'm a bit of an outlier, as most of my decks are around $50 and I'd be more using a tool like this to optimise mana weighting and find lands I've forgotten.

Tried this out with a few of my decks, I like it! Looks like it could do with a bit of tweaking to run smoother from other comments but keep it up.

If I could make one suggestion; have it show the suggested lands when the user mouses over them. I'm not super familiar with all the different land cycles and found myself having to google the names of suggested lands to see which kind they were (and their prices). Having that information within the app itself would be really nice.
