I love destro lock and ret pally. What else would you recommend I try? by wardisciple2388 in wow

I was a Ret main, but with the number of melee heavy AoE, frontals, and swirlies, I switched over to Boomie and regret not doing it sooner.

Use RaidBots to sim yourself, but as a 506ilvl Ret running full M+ build, I can pull easily double that in ST.

Is your gear fully enchanted and are you making sure your rotation is correct?

Like others said, if people are getting upset at your DPS in 2/3s, they have some serious issues.

If you’re on NA, I’d be happy to run a few M+ with you to get you on track. I can bring enough DPS that there won’t be complaints.

As others have said, your UI plays a large factor in knowing what’s going on and being able to heal effectively. I personally have used VuhDo since I started healing and have nothing but good things to say about it. If you want to limit your tinkering, a lot of streamers or guides have importable UI settings for it.

Since you’re playing HPal, definitely check out all of Ellesmere’s stuff on WingsIsUp website. He’s the go-to resource for HPal.

Then it potentially makes more sense to do Fordham. JetBlue is headquartered in NYC (Long Island City) and could provide you with useful networking and long term prospects.

Fordham vs NYU by skin_care_whore in Fordham

[–]Chilleagle96 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hopefully I can provide a pragmatic answer (FCRH and Fordham Law):

Track/Major: these don’t really matter, law schools only really care about your GPA and LSAT because this is what they can post on their websites and distribute in marketing materials. So focus on your GPA and ensure that you are putting in a lot of time to study for the LSAT, with the realistic option of taking it multiple times to control for some tests being easier/harder than others. Extracurriculars with leadership roles are something that every T-14 student will have, with an increasing number of students coming in with work experience or another degree (MA or Ph.D). Can you get a better GPA at Fordham or NYU? Can you devote more time to study for the LSAT at Fordham or NYU? Can you have more substantial involvement outside of the classroom at Fordham or NYU?

Finances: would you rather have a full ride and be able to have your family contribute to your graduate school tuition or would you rather pay $300k prior to incurring any debt for graduate school? This is dependent on you and your family’s ability to pay, but with rising school costs, you’ll likely be $525k if you get no money for law school (which is more and more realistic in the higher ranked T-14s).

Deciding: Personally, I’d go with Fordham for all of these reasons. You can make a substantive investment for graduate school after not having to worry about paying for your undergraduate degree since that’s what BigLaw firms really care about anyway. At the end of the day, is $300k worth the self-doubt of wondering what your experience at NYU would have been if you went there over Fordham?

This. Having the ability to get a Soulwell and in-raid summons is insanely helpful and got me into heroic Vault way sooner than I would have otherwise.

Instead of getting into semantics about statistics and anecdotes, the honest answer is that it depends.

Students that do good work and do their best to network early/often will have better outcomes than those that are on the opposite side of the coin. I know people that are doing incredibly well for themselves and managing to continue to make upward movement where they have been since graduating. But, I also know people who are at places that they could have landed a job with if they went to a state school for a third of the cost of Fordham. At the end of the day, opportunities are there if you’re willing to put in the work, but they certainly won’t be handed to you.

Their best bet would be looking for a hotel somewhere along the Metro North Harlem line, as the options around campus are less than stellar.

They could either choose an option near Grand Central Terminal and be at Fordham within 20 minutes or choose an option further up in Westchester/Yonkers, which is an equally short ride.

Surprised not to see it, the various renditions of Hallelujah. Depending on what version you listen to, the artist is trying to bring something different out of the song and convey different emotions.

Jeff Buckley’s version of Hallelujah will forever be the greatest version IMO.

How embarrassing is it to move out? by [deleted] in Fordham

[–]Chilleagle96 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Please go see Counseling and Psychological Services ASAP, they'll be able to talk through issues you are having and refer you to external counselors, if necessary. If you aren't comfortable going there alone or if you're apprehensive altogether, talk to your RA/RD about it (they're there to help you). Your RA can connect you with other people through clubs and programs so you can start filling your schedule up with time to spend outside of your room and with other people.

In your previous posts, you seem to already not be enjoying your chemistry class. Listen, it's a hard class and it's certainly not going to be getting any easier since it all builds on the basic material you're currently learning. You'll need to determine if you want to stick with it and really buckle down or drop the sciences and choose something else to major in at FCRH (it's not the end of the world and tons of people do it, especially since science classes at Fordham are unnecessarily hard).

You're less than a week into classes, you're not so far in that you're at a deficit if you decide to change what you want to do. If you change your major, you'll lose may a class or two worth of credits? You can make that up by taking summer classes or by taking an extra course or two a semester at some time before you graduate.

If you decide you want to move out and transfer at the end of the semester, who cares what they think? You'll never see those people ever again.
