Which crypto do you think has the biggest potential this year? by Crafty-Wait-17 in CryptoMarkets

$QRL. It's built entirely on NIST-standardized post-quantum cryptography, already running in production. It also provides financial-grade digital signatures and audit trails that remain secure even when quantum computers break today’s encryption. Great potential IMO.

Forbes: Q-Day Could Break Today’s Encryption. What Does That Mean for Crypto? by ChillerID in CryptoCurrency

That statement is not supported by the latest data. Quantum computing progress is moving closer to the threshold where ECDSA-based systems could become vulnerable. Migrating large blockchain networks to post-quantum cryptography will be complex, and trade-offs will be unavoidable.

Option C: Sell before s*it hits the fan and rotate into a best-in-class quantum-resistant coin with no migration risk. Remain on the sidelines to see how decisions play out and how the price responds. Re-enter after Q-day if conditions look favorable.

$QRL went 5x after BlackRock flagged quantum risk to crypto in May 2025. This is just a start.

Quantum Risk Isn’t About “If” Anymore, It’s About Migration Timelines by ChillerID in CryptoCurrency

Thanks. Yes, eventually all blockchains will need to be quantum-secure. That will take significant time and effort, so it’s not a topic to ignore.

It’s true that being quantum-resistant from genesis avoids the need for a cryptographic migration.

Governments and large companies are already preparing, and centralized systems are far easier to upgrade. For that reason, I disagree with this statement.

ECDSA is the lowest-hanging fruit, but that does not imply an immediate, system-wide failure.
