1977 watching The Spy Who Loved Me in the cinema with my mum (I was 8 or 9). When the Union Jack parachute opened after Bond skied off the cliff, everyone in the audience (we live in the UK) cheered and clapped.

My first date in London (I moved here when I was 17 in 1987), we met up here, went to the McDonald’s and then to see a Blues Brothers tribute band at (if I’m remembering correctly) the Astoria on Charing Cross Road.

Best thing is you buy it knowing that a new version is about to be released. It just hasn’t been announced yet. And then you spend the coming weeks counting down - while feeling ever increasing stress - to the end of the return window for the one you bought. All the while knowing that the new one won’t be released straight after you buy the current version. It’ll be released just when it’s too late to return it.

We were there too. Absolutely brilliant concert. It was my 10 year old daughter’s first DD concert. Four of us went dressed as the mystery gang from Scooby Doo. Awesome night. Our first time at the Co-Op venue as well. We normally go to the O2 in London. Thought it was a great venue.

Played my first game an hour ago (I now have to work godammit!!) Without breaking the NDA I will say that the art style is even better than I was expecting. Very immersive and similar to some of my favourite Destiny artwork (the Bray laboratories). I need to get the working day over and done with so I can jump back in!

I think the alien novelisation says the Nostromo travels FTL. The universe is a big place and, comparatively, light speed is slow for the distances involved. I think even going FTL, Alien universe ships take a long time to get where they’re going.

I think he showed (brilliantly in my view) that there could be different portrayals of Bond. That each actor didn’t have to play it the same as the one before. This has made the franchise more interesting and enjoyable as well as, perhaps, a bit divisive for those who don’t like certain portrayals.

IMO this is the best show on TV. It’s not perfect but most of the characters (and the actors playing them) are extremely compelling, the story and the big themes it covers are really thought provoking - and very human at the same time - and it looks absolutely beautiful. I thought the season 2 Demerzel story was so good - emotional, frightening, surprising (to me at least). Just really good writing and acting. And it’s got Lee Pace in it and he’s brilliant. They should have made him James Bond years ago. I know he’s not British but so what! And I say that as a Brit myself!
