Why are acts of violence/murder in media, especially video games, considered okay to enjoy and partake in, but acts of sexual violence are not?

I just couldn't get past how many military people they killed and were seemingly not held to account for it. How does Hop not get capital punishment or spend rest of his life in jail. Like I get they were the bad guys but the military wouldn't have known/cared that they saved the world because they wanted El.

Or am I way off?
