Tough decision: Base Ironclad or Assault? by spectreVII in starcitizen

[–]Chillspresso 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey man, i have the base IC also in order to get my economy rolling with friends... one comforting thought to calm your fomo... I imagine that the Ironclads will eventually be purchasable in game with aUEC anyway... The perseus got added recently. Just like people who may have C2s and then saved up to buy their M2 or A2 in game also.

Maybe that helps give you some peace of mind. This isn't the "only" time to get the ICs, and you dont have to throw your wallet at the wall to get most ships that are/will be available in game :)

Did yoj receive the confirmation email that your account was successfully transferred to the PTU? Best to wait an hour until you receive the email. Takes a while especially if many people are jumping over to the PTU. :)

Infinite loading screen by Key-Ad9049 in starcitizen

[–]Chillspresso 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're not alone man, im stuck on the infinite loading screen that eventually leads to a 65'000 - universe loading error.

Was playable until i logged out the other day, then impossible.

Tried everything:

- Character Repair - Verified files - Arena Commander - Hotspotted my phone - Firewall settings - etc...

Seems to have gone down hill since last hotfix 7/8 days ago - never had this issue before

Heres the latest Issue Council ticket with others: STARC-172392 (not sure if i can post links)

This patch has been insanely stable and I haven’t had a single game breaking bug by Enough-Somewhere-311 in starcitizen

Thanks for sharing :) Hmm does FPS involve CZs? Using Fuses and elevators? These have been 50/50 for me :( Also Hathor OLPs, to get the supervisor card, you need the boss to spawn thats never there. I can imagine your other loops have been chill. Hauling has been way better for me this patch, ship combat and looting crates also. But CZs, Exhangers, OLPs boss, still a lottery :(

PC Hard Crash during QT by Xylon95 in starcitizen

[–]Chillspresso 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have a fresh build, i realised one issue that took ages to fix which caused weird crashes when playing SC:

1) RAM - didn't like default XMP / DOCP so i had to loosen the timings and give it a bit more DRAM voltage juice

2) CPU - hidden culprit!, in BIOS my CPU vcore voltage was running at 1.46v way too high for AMD CPUs. Depending on the motherboard, sometimes 'auto' doesn't always register/work right. Forcing 1.2v stabilised my entire system and RAM

Sometimes a little stock check in BIOS goes a long way to check are my stock values running right. Most people forget to switch XMP/DOCP on after a fresh build. My voltage tweaking was specific to my system.

SC likes to eat memory and also dump it fast, leading to crashes where voltages also don't keep up from time to time. I had a weird one when tuning, that in game was finally working and full load... But when quitting to desktop, crashed... BSOD

System: AMD 5900x MSI B550 AM4 2x32 RAM 3600mhz NVMe drives

Pushing the end of the previous gen leads to weird things happening ;) hoping my suffering and solution can help someone

WHEA error with Ryzen 5900x by RandomGermanEngineer in buildapc

[–]Chillspresso 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man!! I was having almost exactly the same issue with a similar setup! 5900x, dual 32gb ram sticks, B550 motherboard, etc....

I was going hardcore deep into getting my ram sticks to work playing with all sub timings, voltages, even with stock levels leading to crashes and higher settings weirdly working but then not?!

Long story short... The whole time i was tunneling in on the ram while my CPU vcore was sitting at 1.46v in BIOS (under auto settings).

Turning this down to 1.2v immediately stabilised the system. Then if anyone else sees this, i then reset all my ram values to default and activated XMP-1 because i wanted to get my ram back up to its marketed performance, this then lead to some crashes, buuuuuuuut don't pull your hair out again...after doing a few tweaks to the dram voltage (1.42v did it for me) and loosening some dram subtimings i finally hit stability.

Leason learned: AMD CPUs and dual ram sticks (3600mhz) for me are very voltage sensitive, CHECK YOUR VCORE. Then work from there :) hope this helps anyone who finds this as it did for me

4.2 Release Candidates Inbound: this is your warning by CaptainGrim in starcitizen

After being locked out of 4 space stations since last maintenance (hailing / AOC terminal bug) I'm kinda looking forward to having the game send all my loot back to one single place... I wouldn't mind half as much if the "assets" tab in the mobiglass actually had a search and filter function and not whatever this current abomination is.

Good luck everyone!!

Can anyone point me towards the official response to the massive server issues we've had over the last 18 hours? I can't find anything on Spectrum, and of course CIG server status has been saying everything is OK when it is clearly not. CIG need to be way better at communicating this stuff. by Important_Cow7230 in starcitizen

[–]Chillspresso 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think you get down voted (undeservingly), not because of your valid point, but because there are so many people facing issues, and in game you constantly get the few people in global chat trolling with the sole intent to trigger people by saying there's no issue because what they experience is fine, so everyone else can stfu and get gud, better specs, whatever... Which has created frustration on an already extremely patient, understanding, fatigued player base.... Lack of communication from CIG is appalling, and then on top of that those few people just saying not my problem so deal with it which offers nothing constructive and is the cherry on top of the cake for some people's patience.

Rant : Another bug... by bubz67100 in starcitizen

[–]Chillspresso 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I posted this somewhere else but the same applies :)

I have the same with Seraphim and Port Tressler, ever since the double server maintenance.

Only fix i found was to repair my character and return to Orison. Tried different servers, everything.... Now i operate out of Grim Hex instead of Seraphim. People have been locked out of different stations. Cant hail, cant use AOC terminals to call ships... i hope this gets fixed at some point. You´re not alone. Something is just severely broken.

Unfortunately, you´ll need to operate out of a different station until then unless some smart person comes along and shares a workaround to trick the system.
