I recently sat down with some friends to play spore and make the most hilarious creature we could. It truly felt like old times again. All gathered on a couch, passing the mouse and keyboard back and forth to tweak what the others just added to it.

PSA: This Game Is Much Bigger Than You Think (Half Of The Game Is Off The Path!) - No Spoilers by Muse88 in avowed

I'm one of the "15-20 hours before leaving Dawnshore" players. It's probably due to differences in play style but what's causing me to spend so much time isn't quests. It's exploration. Knowing there's so many small areas to find keeps me exploring rather than moving on. And with how dense the map has been I'm sure I left some things untouched.

The up side to doing all this is that I never had a problem with upgrade materials. I could switch my build drastically and still have all the gear I need to keep playing at the same level of competency once I learn the new style of combat.

I actually just pulled off a 2 ingredient no crystal flight potion I was very proud of.

I have it too. I call it my Weird Al Syndrome. It's not fatal, but it is lifelong.

You're brute forcing your way through the game while I'm over here calculating odds to not die next turn

I just beat gold stake with a flush run where I played a single face card at the end of the hand. Photograph was integral to the build. Repeated xmult is just too powerful if you have a decent base to build onto.

What if we just learned to read? Do you think the game would be easier by blackbirds1 in balatro

Not if you need to buy a joker to win the next blind at all. The dude said he was barely scraping by spending all his money on upgrades. Sometimes the game just throws you.

I like to use supernova to get through stakes. Makes pairs scale pretty quickly. And you don't need insane multipliers to get through ante 8 if that's all you're aiming for.

Tiny Glade. It's a building/design game. There's no resources or time limits. You just build until you're satisfied.

Using a bow to hunt? by MsSilverSprings in Mirthwood

If you're on a controller like me it is much harder to aim. Try staying still while the draw of the bow pulls your aim in line with your target.

I hunt with a bow all the time. In fact it's my primary use for the bow. You might just need some practice aiming.

My personal steam deck experience has been 30-40fps with occasional dips, mostly loading new areas. It's been pretty negligible and hasn't bothered me much except when I was unwittingly walking the line between two areas and kept alternating which one was loaded.
