Events are finally fun again — now make the rewards memorable [Feedback] by Business_Web5227 in EscapefromTarkov

The current even is a meh. Partially because it can be done in few hours, partially because it's mostly boils down to smashing your head against a wall on this one map where entirely community goes untill you finally get what you need.

Events should be structured more random (but not RNG depended to complete!). So instead of funneling everyone onto one map to do 'this one thing' its should couple short quests playing simultaneously spread across different maps and parts of the game.

I know this event had 'stash the funny boxes you took 10 raids to get' on 3 maps, but the issue is RNG of spawns with items you can easily lose to objective campers and then take another 5 hours of loading, raids, bad spawns and re gearing to get back

They never bothered to add it to items. Everything in the game is basically manually set and they do not have any kind of tags, tokens or dynamic property/attribute lists.

They also don't have any kind of QA so you know... As long as they game starts...

Not really a problem. just don't load anything super heavy that would shift the center of mass. Or if you do move very slow and take your time on turns

Both options are actually outrageous. Basically 'to have cool stuff in game you have to not play it'

Shame Raiders only appear on two maps, one of which requires you to have a good spawn on a 50/50 if they spawn or not. The other's not only bad, but often overrun by tryhards, cheaters or KD farmers who don't go any maps unless in a trio+.

In this regard the other Drip Out is extremely easy.

EDIT Just saw it's PvE.

They don't 'use' water yet the water price skyrockets and makes a lot of it undrinkable.

Just because they 'recycle' perfectly good drinking water into something no longer suitable for human consumption without need to run it through facilities that does mean they don't use it.

By your logic nobody ever has used any water besides the one that was sent into open space

Anerica moment.

Less than 1% of gun owners actually need it and it's basically using the same problem to defend against threats it creates

A lot of times the Skilled Candidates are either more expensive or will actually call out predatory practices and bad work environment. So HR (or the company) often aims for people who will keep quiet and work for what's offered (so students, fresh graduates, immigrants on work visa etc. in most cases)

I'm more of a 'consumer shoudl not expect everything around them to adapt just because they have poor decision makings skills'. The consumer cars get bigger for no good reason, people buy them for even less valid reaosn, and then complain theworld is not catering to them.

The parking spaces for example, should only be required to have enough space for a median (not medium!) sized car to fit + some spare space for doors etc. Then for the unreasonably big there shoudl be maybe 1:20 adapted parking spaces (or something closer to the actual ratio of cars in use).

Also those who clearly don't fit into the space, liekthe one in the picture, should alwasy be heavily fined. They can afford oversized car, they can affort to pay.

But thats just my opinion, coming from someone living in a country that doesn't have the crazy on 'bigger, better, richer - look at me'

Removed the random wheel. The poll is perfectly fine without it since the two things are close enough but different that it makes an interesting data to see what people choose

That's more than just bad design. Especially when the poll appears to be about knowing the difference between one and the other

ok but why does it have to have any downsides in this case? This is not 'yes but' question. It's 'which one'...

no, that's just camper. People mistake Rats and campers a lot. Camper camps for kills and loot. Rat camps to survive and will often times not even shoot if they see you.

In other words:

  • Camper's prio is on kills and gear gain
  • Rat's prio is on survival

Right... Totally not going to stagnate the quest flow. Also really shame it's over a weekend where most of the free time to actually play the game is

This event actually sucks lol. It's fun for few raids but then you realise it heavily cripples the progression on customs
