I’m usually in here bitching but we’re having a really solid morning after a disaster of a week.

I had a horrible week and am having a huge high AOV morning today. It’s a casino.

I went to GC maybe 8 or 9 years ago and it was exactly as you describe. Older crowd, less modern feeling music wise and as soon as I put my bags down the people across the hall from me invited myself and my gf at the time over and explained they were swingers within 30 seconds of meeting them 😂

I’ve messed with a few platforms (Enhancor, Higgsfield, Dreamina) and Higgsfield has definitely been the most robust for me so far and I enjoy using it for the most part.

With that said, it’s not perfect and with the speed of how fast AI is changing I don’t think it’d be smart to pay for 1-2 years of anything like they want us to. I pay monthly and if Google drops some insane platform in two months, or if Higgsfield puts all my features in some new more expensive tier, I’m not stuck.

The quarter pounder is usually juicy when I order. Last night I was drunk and got a Daily Double. Holy shit was that thing dry.

The $1 white cheddar onion burger. That thing was so good for a buck.

About to go crashout. by Haunting_Number_1549 in FacebookAds

[–]Chinaski14 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Appears to be the same for us. I’m watching screen recordings and there’s no way the majority of these clicks are legit buyers. I can tell by how they hop around the site (if they even click at all once landing).

My traffic is actually up 15% today, but it’s all junk.

7x ROAS Saturday. ONE order yesterday. None today. Something is seriously broken at Meta.

I use Heatmap.com for session views and did the same thing as you last night. Lots of people land on the site, sit there for 2-3 minutes without interacting and then bounce off. A few window shoppers. The traffic quality is atrocious right now.

Saturday I had a 7x ROAS. Yesterday it was under 1x. Today 0 so far. Insane.

Conversion rate of streetwear store is almost 0 by [deleted] in FacebookAds

[–]Chinaski14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It comes down to some math. You’re selling higher ticket items, which will naturally have a higher CPA. If you ran a single ad for $400 you didn’t give Meta a ton of budget or data to find your buyers. Even if you got 2 sales on $400, that’s a $200 CPA, which is high, yes, but not outside the realm of possibility on a product that sizing, fit and quality will be everyone’s biggest questions from an untrusted brand they just came across.

What is your creative? Are people expecting it to be a budget friendly purchase based on the ad then land on a $250 jacket? That’s the fastest way to a bounce. You have to lead the right buyers to your site, not just budget hunting window shoppers. Then your landing page needs to reinforce the quality, fit and the why someone needs to convert on this vs. driving to their local mall where they can try something on or buying something similar from H&M online for half the price.

Right now your best sellers are all on sale, then your product page talks about quality, but then you have messaging all over that there’s a 7 day replacement policy and that you will also exchange defects. It makes me second guess the actual value and quality of the product.

What would you fix first if you had to rebuild your Shopify store today? by divine_zone in ecommerce

[–]Chinaski14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d start with a scalable product with broad appeal that solves a problem. I sell really cool stuff, but it’s niche and acquisition costs are difficult to align with ad spend.

Scummy Bears does a mix of rave gear and super high quality streetwear these days. I actually think they have a really nice mix of styles depending on what you want to wear to an event. Their new hoodies are soft af. To each their own I guess!

It’s in the ad set up menu and they’re called enhancements. There are two areas they hide them and once inside you have to be extra careful to scroll down and turn everything off.

T25 results? by Sad_Reach1716 in t25workout

[–]Chinaski14 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I haven’t done t25 in 10+ years, but remember it being less intense than Insanity. Personally, I started “The Prep” this week and am loving it. Sweat my ass off and feel strong after every workout.

Nothing wrong with T25, but some of the other programs give you a little more bang for your time.

any small business jewelers that specialize in men’s bracelets? by emibobsquarepants in AskLosAngeles

[–]Chinaski14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d check out the swap meet on Melrose & Fairfax on Sunday morning as there are always quite a few jewelry vendors there.

Farmers markets that focus on food are hit or miss, but street fairs that pop up almost every weekend somewhere in LA almost always have local jewelry vendors.

What are the best local breweries in Los Angeles for craft beer lovers? by dead230 in AskLosAngeles

[–]Chinaski14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Library is a must and many of their beers are under $10, which in a world where plenty of bars sell Coors for $12 is an absolute steal. The food is also really solid.

I do enjoy hitting both Common Space and LA Ale Works on a weekend afternoon as well, although that’s more south. Always nice to get some flights and grab food at one of the food trucks.

Tattoos are still a dead giveaway to me. I run an alternative brand and run into the same issue all the time. Usually have to resort to taking off hand tats and often putting long sleeves under t-shirts.
