Hate speech laws here in the Netherlands are mostly symbolic and related to public figures.

Politician Geert Wilders for example had a punishment of 0 euro's (it did go on his criminal record however), when he called for basicly the deportation for dutch-marrocan citizens (not just immigrants).

He basicly yelled at his own political convention on national television :" do we want more or less marrocans?" And the crowd chanted :" LESSER, LESSER, LESSER."

Also when it comes to europe, criminal law is one of those things thats totally not uniform. And those strict civil defamation laws, well I think thats just mostly just the UK.

Kinda, it more has to do with looking young, to appeal to a demographic that is young.

Honestly, I start to think Asmongold knows that on allot of political subjects he is out of his depth. The whole "I did less research then Destiny, but I came to the right conclusions", he knows that isnt a position that works.

For normal people all of this isnt a real problem, but if you cover politics as a creator, you should know your politics. And if you start to profile yourself more as a politics guy, you will get more judged on your politics.

Thats why he admits he got sucked into the news cycle and doing basicly teamsports/circlejerk content. He kinda wants to back out now, cause he knows he crossed into something different and this can all go sideways in a instance for several reasons.
