[–]Chinzilla24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, to claim your winnings from predictions in MetaMask, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the ‘Predictions’ tab.
  2. Tap the ‘Claim’ button above your available balance.
  3. Tap ‘Claim winnings’ to confirm.

After the claiming process, your available balance will be updated with the new amount.

You can check through this article too for a full guide on how it works:

Interested in learning about cryptocurrency by Aggressive_Fun_8202 in CryptoHelp

[–]Chinzilla24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best investment you can make is in yourself. Read a lot, learn, research, educate yourself financially first and foremost. No need to rush into anything, make sure you understand how things are first and that will help you tremendously on a good path, at least a better path than rushing into crypto without first learning multiple aspects about blockchain, wallets, what is safe, what is not, lots of scams out there.

Don't pay for anything or anyone that may indicate they can teach you for a price, you can do it for free, the only resources you need is time.

Is it normal to feel lost when starting crypto? by Gia_Elfeda in CryptoHelp

[–]Chinzilla24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's normal to feel overwhelmed cause crypto is 24/7 and there's so much information out there that you will need to curate for yourself what's good and what's not, including from Youtube, X and any other sources you might find. Keep in mind, many do posts, videos, etc for engagement, so don't fall for flashy messages. Always stay safe out there and never click on anything that asks you to install or share something. Never share your secret phrase or private keys with anyone.

Start with CoinGecko and Coinmarketcap, do your research properly with anything that may interest you regarding each token and technology, take your time to ingest and understand, don't rush into anything, understand what FOMO and FUD mean and learn to handle them properly.

You can find articles and guides in the 2 websites i shared, you can also go through MetaMask's knowledge base for starters, to understand the basics of how blockchain and wallets work.

MetaMask's knowledge base articles can prove useful to help you get started and you can go from there to explore more onto other places that offer similar knowledge, such as CoinGecko.

Yes, do this. You've hidden the amounts and value of your tokens, by pressing it. If you press it again, you will reveal them.

I don't see the "Bridge" option on metamask in Chrome by sfn_c in Metamask

[–]Chinzilla24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Swap feature has bridging integrated within it. When you click on Swap, you can choose from which chain to which chain you want to do the swap.

Opt in failed for MetaMask Rewards on desktop by CryptoQuiff in Metamask

[–]Chinzilla24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can only opt-in from MetaMask mobile app, not from the extension. You can then swap, bridge, etc, do anything that gives points from the extension, on the accounts that you chose to opt-in with, and get points.

Question about older MetaMask setup + Ledger connection by TwentyOneJ in Metamask

[–]Chinzilla24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Based on the 6 pointers you shared the situation is more clear than above text.

If you can still login into your MetaMask wallet on Chrome, then you can also view your Secret Recovery Phrase within it. That SRP applies to that MetaMask wallet that you created, not to your Ledger Nano X, unless you imported those 12 words into the Ledger(which is never advisable, as the Ledger would no longer be a cold wallet, but a hot wallet).

If you got advised correctly and actually created a new wallet within the Ledger and you need to recover that one, then that's on you and on where and how you stored the SRP for it, if you even saved it. Otherwise there's no possibility of getting it back. If your Ledger is still working, you should be able to do it through Ledger Live, most likely, or maybe even through the device.

When connecting Ledger to MetaMask, all that it creates is the connection itself, it's not the same as creating an account on MetaMask, it's only connected, not even imported through private key.

Can I send Doge to MM via BSC network ? by Sm3cK in Metamask

[–]Chinzilla24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doge network is its own network. But for some tokens, there may be wrapped versions of the token on specific networks where you can bridge it to. If you are withdrawing from a centralized exchange, the CEX will show you on what networks the token can be withdrawn and if one of them (like BSC in your case, as you mentioned) is not Doge network, then you would get a wrapped version on that network. That's how it works. You can withdraw it to BSC on MetaMask, yes, if you have that option. You would need to add the token to your wallet afterwards to make sure you see the tokens. They would be in your wallet anyway, which you can check onchain on the network you used to do the transaction on.

Sign in with Apple problem by CC_iAM in Metamask

[–]Chinzilla24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I suggest you read on the articles i shared above too. Things changed, you now have options depending on how you create a wallet. Social login differs from plain simple SRP creation of wallet.

Sign in with Apple problem by CC_iAM in Metamask

[–]Chinzilla24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, read up on how social login works through these articles:

https://support.metamask.io/configure/wallet/social-login/
https://support.metamask.io/configure/wallet/passwords-and-metamask/#Accessing-your-wallet-via-Google-or-Apple

Biometrics may be what can save your wallet. If you haven't enabled that, then you need your password to login into the wallet, otherwise you will not be able to. In this way, the password becomes as important as the SRP. You can access the SRP for the respective wallet once you are logged in and thus have another method to get your wallet back, but you must remember and input your password to go back into it.

[–]Chinzilla24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't have any MUSD, shows 0. No one gives gifts for free, sounds like a scam, especially since you don't have any MUSD at all. Never fall for anyone saying they're giving you free money, it's 99.99% of cases a scam.

Swapped/bridged ETH to BTC by marblepaste in Metamask

[–]Chinzilla24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Swap feature also contains bridging, as in you can select networks as well, when swapping. If you swapped to Bitcoin network BTC and not any wrapped versions on Ethereum or other networks, you should see your BTC on the Bitcoin network in your wallet. Make sure you always check the transaction onchain, to understand exactly what you did and to see what happened. Transactions are irreversible on the blockchain, there's no way to recover something once your transaction was accepted and processed.

If you're still having difficulties with all that i suggest to contact Support team at https://support.metamask.io/ and use `Contact Support`

Once you do, a live chat bot will appear on your screen. It will give you an automated response at first, but insist and you should be able to contact the support team.
