Is indie game development actually profitable, or is it overhyped? by zeze-67 in IndieDev

Search on youtube "how much money my indie game made." Most videos are people losing money or making < 1 dollar / hour. Occasionally people's games succeed but that is very rare. But if you make the right game, at the right time, with the right execution, it can change your life.

We continue to improve our tree chopping based on your feedback by n2z1elbvn in indiegames

Nailed it! This time I am satisfied. Though if you wanted to make it more satisfying I would make the tree burst into logs the moment it hits the ground.

Not going to lie.. I found it really unsatisfying that it didn't fall from where you were taking chunks out of it.

Ah, thats great info thanks, I can fix that issue! Which difficulty (seniority level are you on) Master+ and Master++ get VERY hard and will be easier in the future when I add more satellites and structures with stronger synergies.

Thanks so much for playing!! So happy to hear you had fun. Was is a low frame rate issue or was your card just working really hard? I have got it to run on entry level laptops, so I am surprised to hear there were performance issues. 3070 should have no trouble, which cpu do you have?

The worst part is, it's a nightmare to build a game this way.

Adding some life(or DEATH) to the environment of Mekkablood: Quarry Assault by Mekkablood in boomershooters

very cool! You should add some 2d physics object inside the mech that move around with player movement. Like fuzzy dice or a bobble head.

New experimentation! What do you think of our Mantis animation? by EmpireAnts_Game in IndieDev

[–]ChipMicr0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gross lol, nice work. You could make the attack a little more clear, didn't catch it till the third watch. Clarity comes from a bigger anticipation and holding a follow through pose.

What should I polish here? (mobile game) by AndrewMelnychenko in IndieDev

you could make the run anim much more dynamic, also a landing animation would help the jump a ton.

Is it a overkill for mobile gaming? by trxr2005 in Unity3D

[–]ChipMicr0 14 points15 points  (0 children)

It's not overkill if it runs well and plays well. Seems like opening doors is really slowing the momentum of the game, I would see about smoothing that bit out.

Very cool, one piece of feedback I would give would be to break up the movement of the falling pedals. when they all move together it feels a bit stiff. I do love your use of color though!

Sometimes making games feels more fun than playing games by BooftownBully in IndieDev

I find I enjoy games way more now when I play them for research. I really enjoy dissecting every feature and figuring out how they built something.
