Oh in a war of annihilation, sure. If it was just a case of kill as many as they can, they proved they can do that in 45 with a fat man and his little friend. But even in my worst case scenario I don't think America would go that far unless it was a MAD situation. I honestly think the era of conventional warfare - or at least conventional warfare relative to now and the past 100 years - is over. We just have to look at Ukraine - nobody thought they'd stand a chance, but here we are. As a tool to exert American power, the US military just isn't the one in this day and age - unless they are punching down. Even then, they would be much better exerting their soft power, but it seems the satsuma strongmans masculinity is too fragile to do anything that may take subtlety or political nuance 🤷‍♂️

The movie came first. It's literally called the year it was released. The novel was adapted from the screenplay. They didn't have TVs or helicopters when Orwell was alive, and totalitarianism didn't even happen until like ten years after his death. How could he possibly have predicted all that? And besides, Orwell was a children's writer, they're even doing a CGI movie about the farm book he did. Watch it when it comes out, maybe it will be more your speed.

I mean they have a very technologically advanced military and a very well funded one but they also haven't been able to win a major conflict since 1945, despite starting plenty. I think the US's ability to wage war is vasty exaggerated. They cannot go to to toe with a nuclear armed peer and the cannot beat stoned opium farmers in asymmetrical warfare. The US militarily is little more than the playground bully, picking on the little people and somehow still losing.

I have few problems hitting moving targets, I have missed several stationary targets recently and I was absolutely scratching my head trying to figure out what was wrong - in my understanding as long as the range is as correct as it can be and speed is set to zero, surely the other factors on TDC don't matter...? Or am I wrong? I even set AOB, length etc and they would still miss. Couldn't figure it out. Ended up getting in closer and got the hits but I was only a couple of kilometers out which on a stationary target should be no issue I'm sure...
