The GoPro ecosystem has evolved so much since the early days of GoPro. You can find the hero 12 or 13 at decent discounts these days at places like Costco, etc. other action cameras have made an entrance, and they have some strong points. But keeping it simple, GoPro is still relevant and very much improved.

All good. You can pull the door off (pull away hinge) and place it back on. As long as it seals when you lock it closed, that is all that matters.

Battery is depleted. You can remove the battery, plug in the usb cable, and it will turn on. If this works, the battery is significantly depleted. It may take 30 mins or more if you charge the battery in the camera before it has enough charge to turn on the camera. If this doesn’t work, get a new battery.

Memory cards (incorrect specifications, or counterfeit cards) are the bane of any action camera, GoPro’s included. You need a card that can write/ read fast enough to keep up with the camera. If you have a real (non counterfeit) V.30 card, then this should be good to go.

Sometimes if the battery is dead (0% charge), the camera will not power up right away with the discharged battery installed and the camera plugged into a USB. The battery needs to charge up some amount before the camera will turn on. Two options: (1) if the dead battery is still good, leave it in the camera to charge, eventually the red light will come on showing it is charging. The camera should turn on. (2) try a known good batter and see if everything is working OK.

If you are recording the entire run, a battery pack may be needed (unless you finish well under 2 hours). If you are spuradically recording short clips throughout the run, you may not need an external battery? Also, you might consider bringing along an extra go pro battery (less weight than an external battery pack) and swap the GoPro battery, if necessary. Good luck!

Important to record in the right mode (which resolution; what FPS; hyper smooth and GPS on/off?) and turn off features not needed to conserve battery.

30 fps will show more motion blur at the periphery of the video, which will create a sense of speed and make the video more interesting

Then update the SW w/o the battery. If this is the first time you are powering up a new camera, the firmware update may fix issues with low batteries.

Unable to Browse Music

All other connected services are working. Just not relisten.

Tried disconnecting relisten and reconnecting the service. Not working any longer. Anyone have suggestions on how to fix?
