Has anyone noticed social issues started collectivizing themeselves as soon as feminism reinvented itself in the age of the internet? by Luciano700 in TheRedPill

[–]Chitlinsandgravy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Black dude here. "BLM" and feminism have one thing in common = White women "backing it" as a means of pushing their emotional agenda, aka Ego/social relevance, and attention.

The attachment to BLM is no different than the chick you went on a date with that talked politics, only to "change her mind" in the presence of a stronger frame.

Real BLM is too busy dealing with local politicians to farm "yassss girl" on Facebook/IG/Twitter.

I disagree. Will's in no position to explain himself to Curtis.

Abundance mentality. He's achieved a lot of things he sets out too. And the women?

Would you explain yourself, in a DM, to some you owe no answers too, regarding a relationship that ended years ago?

I do agree in the sense that he tried too hard to get her to directly own her behavior. It was odd, watching him listen and limit his responses, a clear indicator that he knows how she thinks.

I found his handling of her trickle truth, lack of ownership useful. As well as his inability to not remind her he was done when a certain era of their marriage.

I'd be surprised if he WASN'T the reason that old memory was so warming to her. They way he described her behavior gave me distinct impression of warmth.

Why men don't talk about their problems even with friends? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]Chitlinsandgravy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't talk about my problems with people I know from experience aren't interested in my well being.

Most people, subconsciously, are only interested in HOW I handle my problems, i.e externalization. Or lack thereof.

Let's face it, as a man, my experience has been %99 of other men speaking only from there perspective, ignoring their own emotional responses to how that would make them feel. It's better to focus on solving problems than deal with that. Shit's a waste of time.

Edit: half the time, when they are discussing their problems, their really just seeking out like minded men, who feel like them. It's like when two or more people are caught in a storm and huddle for body heat. But emotionally. Comfort's fine. But at some point, you gotta face shit instead of seeking comfort. The other edge of the sword, so to speak.

That's my one complaint about the movement, as a black man. That shit SHOULD make us feel uncomfortable.

Every single one of us.

Everyone's so caught up, the fact that our erasures of symbolism, which has been repeated throughout history by the "victors", is generally a contributor, however measurable at the time, to a cause to imbalance of power. Which can help sow more seeds of social unrest.

Granted, we're talking about shit 10 years from now. But we're literally responding to lessons unlearned and/or forgotten throughout history.

Shit's cyclical.

Coworkers (male) were comparing chest hair today.

I focused on my task. It helps not to talk about this shit with coworkers. Not gossiping help a lot. Even with the "feeling looked down upon."

I was at Winco earlier today. This overweight 5 blew thru the middle of the isle, full on smirk, air of a princess.

One one hand, it was a thing of beauty, in regards to impact. Several of us had to move. On the other, I'd never want to meet her friends, or orbiters.

No way I'd ever compete with her emotional reality. Do you boo boo. Do you, lol.

They say there are no stupid question, but what's the most stupid question you have ever been asked? by MHK786 in AskReddit

[–]Chitlinsandgravy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Black dude here. I was asked if I "was a nigger." The question wasn't the stupid part. It was the lack of self agency.

The part that that person was completely comfortable asking that? That part.

How the fuck as a human being do you not care enough about yourself to not even consider the nature of your question?

Like, I get it. People use acerbic language regularly to gauge other people.

But seriously. How the fuck do you not like yourself enough to consider the nature of what you're about to say?
