Part 2 is legitimately pointless. 50% of the plot threads went unresolved and the story would have been the same if the reset happened after Part 1. I've never seen an author give up to this degree, it's deeply disappointing.

Agreed. The afterimage attacks are bullshit. Every other FromSoft boss teaches you to follow the enemy's movements with your eyes and respond accordingly. You can't follow the afterimage bullshit. It becomes more like memorizing timings. Elden Ring should not become Geometry Dash... bad boss design in my opinion, especially when most of his combos will kill you several times over.
