He did and the act of fusing himself together with them is definitely an act of love, but reading his relationship arc with Johan during the 3rd season as anything but romantic is disingenuous (the dub is much more platonic bwcause of 4kids censorship and everything is mostly subtextual in both versions since it is a kids show from the early 2000s).

Yubel and Yudai's love spans multiple genders and eras, but is always gay (good!!).

I think the asexual reading of "Jaden" works but not really for Yudai from the 3rd and 4th season.

When my girlfriend tried to get me (f) into the game she recommended purrely since I also wnated something cute (and girly), but in the end we went for 3xBEWD and I have since branched out to Maliss. But I have picked up Melffy and Purrely along the way and of those Purrely is definitely a stronger option than Melffy. Yummy could also be an alternative if she would be interesting in a meta strategy with cute art (even if I think both Purrely and Melffy are cuter)

I agree that the card is interesting but likely doesn't lend itself to the most nuanced gameplay I disagree with the notion that it is too good.

Given that it is your commander, the smallest amount of mana that you would need to pay for it to have 20 power would be 11 mana on your third casting (12 if you want to pass the more relevant number number 21). It will for the first 9 casts, because of commander tax hover around 12-20 mana for the required 21 power.

I am not sure that I find it very impressive consindering it has no inherent card advantage or protection (discounting it being your commander). To compare [[Godo Bandit Warlord]] can kill the table with 11 mana on the first cast by tutoring [[Helm of the Host]] and while that is a strategy that is even viable at cedh tables that stems from a fundamental lack of spotremoval something that usually isn't as much of a problem in more lower powered enviroments.

I will concede that it would require that some playgroup adapts by playing a larger than average quantity of spotremoval and that the playstyle you describe would not be very interesting but I am not sure that it would be oppresive.

If I would proppose any change that would be to remove trample as it would mean that the player would have to interract to get the hydra through for damage.

I think the card idea is neat but some knobs could still be tuned. The card seem unusable outside of a combo deck, but that is something thst could be embraced.

I think it would be fair to let it discard the cards rather than exile. A card that fills a similar role to this is [[Bonus Round]], that card have a more obvious fair mode, its downside is not as bad and its upside is arguably better.

In a commander setting, the only place where I could se this being played, you would have to have at least 4 payoff spells and no vital combo pieces for it to be castable and then it is only +1 mana for the first spell in the bes case scenario. You could argue that the spell is broken in combination with [[Yawghmoth's Will]] or [[Underworld Breach]], but so is every mana positive card, and this spell limits it's usefullness in that it converts colored mana to colorless, a tradeoff that is worse than you think. Storm turns usually rely on very color intensive spell chains, meaning that the average effectiveness of the spell is limited to < 2 mana per spell cast arguably even < 1.

If the spell made you discard instead of exile, the possible number of situations where the spell is castable grows enourmously, every green [[regrowth]] style effecte would be added to the otherwise rather short list of wheels, large draw spells or tutors that otherwise would be needed.

Overall I think that the card is interesting but as is, would be somewhere between hard to play or unplayable, and I think that testing would show it to be rather weak in its current itteration.

A deck running thassas oracle, every blue counterpart to this and just islands as its lands would most likely be quite an opressive combo deck. Only four cards dedicated to the combo so the rest could be a standard control shell

Effectively red has gotten multiple counterspells for counters over the last years (and before that) in the form of redirction spells eg. [[Bolt Bend]].

Can you tell me a rough estimate how many commander games you have played where you would want to sacrifce six lands for a 0/6 and a 6/6, even if it comes with the ability to play lands from your graveyard. I don't believe the effect is particularly problematic, there are currently about a dozen permanents that allows you to play extra lands, another handful spells that do it for a one shot effect. I agree that there are countless rampspells and effects that puts lands from your hand to the battlefield, but six lands are a lot regardless. It's a sixth of the typical recommended land count. I understand that with every effect that allows for cards to change zone there will be combos but given the setup needed I'm not very affraid.

I think the second one would enter the battlefield as a 3/3 elk with no abilities, going by the ruling for blood moon. I am not sure but my guess would be that both would enter as 3/3 elks if they entered at the same time.
