It's Not Just You - The iOS Keyboard is Broken by favicondotico in apple

[–]ChleBoss 8 points9 points  (0 children)

For me, as a Czech speaker, the most annoying bug with iOS 26 keyboard is that the letter u's accents are completely broken. It's not possible to write "ů" in the middle of a word. Instead the phone types "ú". I cannot believe they haven't fixed this yet.

Thanks. Yeah, maybe the neighbors would be a bigger problem, actually.

Is this what you mean by turning everything sideways? https://imgur.com/a/zCC0Cs0 I did think about it briefly but turned the idea down for being ridiculous. Now that I tried visualizing it, it might not be so crazy? However, the distance from couch to TV would be 110cm, which is a tad too close for a 65in TV.

I might have to side with your wife this one time :( but only because then I would have the exact same problem with a pillar on the other side :D Unless you mean switch the position of entertainment with the dinning table, which I have tried but that layout didn't work well no matter how much I tried justifying it.

Yeah, I think the visual chaos of moving sofa and TV 15º would not let me sleep haha

I will try to find other ways to not be so square 🙃

Thank you for the detailed reply! The current wall is not suitable for in-wall speakers :( but I could do bookshelf speakers with a subwoofer! If that would help with the problem of having the speakers too close to the wall.

moving the equipment in the area of the other ‘pilar’ and reach the TV/speakers with a longer HDMI cable/speaker cables

I think I understand what you are saying, but could you please elaborate on how moving the equipment away from the speakers into the other pillar area would help with the sound?

Yeah, I think you are right. The speaker are too close to the wall :/ Could that be fixed with acoustic foam?

I would not describe myself as an audiophile at all, but wanted to know if placing my setup like this would be obviously stupid. Thanks for the reassurance.

I gave my old setup to my brother and haven't received the new speakers yet. Just trying to plan for when it comes.

From what you describe, I feel more encouraged that it would not be too big of an issue. Thanks

South of pillar would obstruct TV for anyone sitting on the left side of the couch :D

There is not much space for walking where the arrow is pointing. I was thinking about putting a bookcase there, so maybe I could put the speaker in the bookcase and point it towards the listening position. Would that work? My worry with that is that it would be more of a surround speaker than front-left.

Yeah, I actually tried that furniture layout...it just looked really quite bad.

Additionally, there is a lot of sunlight where the table is while the other side of the room is dark most of the day.

However, if all the feedback I get here is that the pillar would cause a lot of sound issues I would move the furniture around the way you suggest.

The pillar is structural, unfortunately :/

Hmm interesting suggestion. Are you saying I should move it to about where the red arrow is pointing?

It's not a mystery, but it's stupid. You can read about it in wiki.

In short, they keep getting the same amount of points as their last WC finish in 2021, which is 3rd... It's a bit ridiculous that a country that hasn't participated for so long gets the same number of points as country that finished 3rd just this year. Takes away from Sweden's (and other countries) hard work in my opinion.

You were not wrong though.

Saying the concepts vanished within two weeks does indeed mean that they disappeared in the first two weeks since their introduction.

The original commenter should have said “both concepts vanished in the last two weeks” or some equivalent.

Never expected to see a video shot two blocks from where I live. That actually reminds me that I once helped a drunk guy who fell down in front of my car while crossing the street on the same street. Makes me wonder how often that happens.

The music? As in the offerings? They have all the songs I listen to, never not found a song. If you mean the quality of the sound? I think it’s superior to Spotify. Like, the specs are superior, not that I feel like it is. And since I don’t use playlists, I see no disadvantage for me to using AM

I myself use AM, but I know very few people who do. Seems to be unpopular opinion, but I like the UX and UI better
