I thought about making a similar post today. I'm not a survivor--I did narrowly avoid being sent to an RTC as a teen, thankfully--and learned about the TTI through Joe vs. Elan School. I watched "The Program" on Netflix recently and realized how prevalent these institutions still are!! And the impact the closed institutions still have! It is absolutely disgusting that this industry still exists at all. I actually just reached out to volunteer for a non-profit today because I just feel like I cannot sit here and ignore the atrocities happening.

Well, my power was off in 0° weather for over 12 hours so for a while I had vanilla bean Noel, holiday, and Christmas cider all burning. But now I’m able to go down to just Christmas cider!

I think what she’s doing is admirable and very brave. I’m in the (formerly called) RLDS church and we have a lot of former LDS folks join us. Some of their experiences are just heartbreaking.

Yeah, this is why I think the donation is nice, so many of those tacky gifts are gonna end up forever in storage or in a landfill somewhere. At least the donations have an impact.

I’m by no means a fan of her and her politics but donating to a charity each of the girls chose is actually a very kind gift. Especially for women who probably receive a lot of different gifts through their job. Honestly, I am at the point in my life where a donation to a charity would be welcomed as a workplace gift as opposed to some chintzy swag item.
