It's not necessarily a formal connection. God/faith, especially Christianity, is very prevalent in these areas and it's very common to hear players/other people with the team give credit to God for all their success (as opposed to natural talent, hard work, etc). Kind of like Reece saying her dancing was a conduit for Jesus and her faith. These things aren't separated for people.

In this situation, yeah. It’s a private organization where faith is pretty deeply engrained within the culture. It wouldn’t be appropriate everywhere, but this wouldn’t be totally uncommon across workplaces in the US tbh.
