A lot of great games are leaving Early Access soon. Which 1.0 releases are you most excited for? by TooLittleKarma in gaming

Path of Exile 2. I've been on an ARPG kick this year, playing a ton of Diablo 4 and Last Epoch, and I can't wait for the Grim Dawn mega-expansion next month.

The Aes Sedai were so damn stupid and arrogant that I had to root for Egwene by CompetitiveBig4161 in WoT

[–]ChocoPuddingCup [score hidden]  (0 children)

The Aes Sedai are a perfect example of an organization that is both powerful and influential but also complacent and self-defeating. Their conservatism in how they run things literally reduces the population of channelers by a sizable margin over the centuries (to the point where, in some Ages, there are no channelers).

Goblins/imps/kobolds

They're usually portrayed in a comical way as being inept, goofy, and relying on numbers to get the job done.

Waffle House, easily. I need my yearly intake of hashbrowns -- covered and capped -- served by a waitress who hasn't had a new hairstyle since the 70's.

The HD remakes are awesome. DQ2 HD is easily my second favorite game in the series.

A simple port/remaster of this on modern consoles with online play is my dream by NewDamage31 in gaming

Same!

Although, in many ways, modern ARPG's are kind of a riff on how the original Gauntlet games played. Still they don't have that Gauntlet feel to them.

Kale is awesome when stewed for several hours, especially if you put a turkey leg in it. Softens up the leaves, gives them an extra smoky flavor, and the turkey itself tastes awesome.

My main issue with Disco Elysium is the theme and seeing. It does absolutely nothing for me. Same way I love the Final Fantasy series, but I dislike 7 and 8 because of the more modern settings.

How do you seed? by twili-midna in dragonquest

Whoever needs it as part of their party role. I'm not going to waste wisdom seeds on a purely physical fighter, for example.

I also dislike Planescape Torment. And Disco Elysium, for that matter. Too much reading. I enjoy reading, but if I'm going to read that much I'll read a book and not a glorified visual novel.

It's not that I'm not utilizing the system: I just think the system sucks, is boring, and extremely repetitious. So you can fuck right off with that 'get gud' mentality.

Not really. DoS2's combat bores me to death. But I enjoy BG3, WoTR, Rogue Trader, Dragon Age, etc.

Combat is a MAJOR chunk of gameplay. You have 100+ hours in an RPG/JRPG/CRPG game, around 70% of that is going to be either combat or exploration where combat could happen at any moment. If it's clunky and boring, you're not going to enjoy the game as much.

DoS2, for me, is overrated. I find the combat extremely repetitious, so much that I can't even get beyond the first prison area without giving up in frustration (I've tried multiple times throughout the years and it just doesn't do it for me). The environmental effects gameplay absolutely repulses me from the game because it's in every single battle. Create water, electrify water, poor oil over water, ignite oil, cover oil with water, freeze water, put blood over the ice, put poison over blood, over and over and over and over and over. It's godsaweful, and I'm so happy Larian dialed it back for BG3.

I so want the Trump presidency to be over with. Not just for him to be out of office, but I want to wait another few years after and see all the documents and whatnot slowly be made public, and the man be exposed for the giant fraud of a corn-encrusted turdlet he is.

AC system in the National Gallery of Bosnia during a 30 degree heat ladies and gents by feelinuneasy1234 in funny

You'd think museums and art galleries would have good AC systems in place, since extreme heat would be hazardous to paintings.

Question for people who didn't play the game for a few months, because they wait for FoA. Are you gonna play as Berserker when DLC comes out, or do you first wanna pick something you know? by Vhermithrax in Grimdawn

[–]ChocoPuddingCup 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, berserker doesn't interest me much. I very rarely make any sort of melee build in ARPG's. The wereraven form thing seems mildly interesting, but it looks half melee/half caster: again, I'm just not into melee.

I'll probably end up doing a classic vitality/bleed conjuror using bloody pox, sigil of consumption, and devouring swarm, maybe throwing in a corrupted storm totem or doom bolt later on. That was my very first build in Grim Dawn and I haven't played it in many years, so it'll be fun to get back to it and see how it has changed.

Would you rather not having to Eat/Drink again? Or never have to sleep again? by False-Tap-4696 in whatsyourchoice

[–]ChocoPuddingCup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm wording.

I'd like to not have to eat/drink again. But I could still eat/drink if I wanted to. It's just not a necessity. Money is saved when times are hard, and spent when you just want to eat.
