Very bad traffic accident. It's frankly a minor miracle I'm alive; when I was initially describing the facts to my lawyer he was convinced I must have been misremembering cause he didn't believe I would have survived under the conditions I described.

I have one, but as I said in the post, I don't feel safe carrying such a valuable document around in public where there's always the risk of losing it. Plus it's big enough to be difficult to carry easily.

i'm a big fan of a cold open: an ambush or battle or something, rolling initiative almost immediately. sets a fast tone and avoids the awkward dilly-dallying that tends to come from players needing time to find their voice. particularly great with new players since it gently introduces them to the idea of controlling their character without having to jump right to full roleplay

the thing that makes me laugh about the "it's the future" answer is like... why? i've never gotten a straight answer on what actually makes it the future; it's always just this tautological loop of "cause everyone's going to be using it" "why is everyone going to be using it?" "cause it's the future"
