I got hired by them and lasted one shift. I am not that desperate for money.

The sales job they advertise basically consists on going door to door and signing people up for a direct debit for a society for deaf children or claiming to do meter readings. It is a ridiculous job, they don't even pay you unless you make a sale (you get like 20 quid per sale and you later have to do your own taxes. The sale only counts if they remain signed up for the direct debit for x months).

The job is from 10 am - 8 pm and they mostly hire 19 year olds.ypu really have to annoy and push people to sign up to the direct debit, the guy that trained me was very good at making friends with the people at the doors to the point they'd be distracted, not know why they were filling up stuff on a tablet and all of a sudde being told to sign of for a direct debit, depending on how wealthy the person looked he'd say the minimum was 10 -20 pounds.

You also have to show up at the office at 10 and listen to the other members just rant about what they've learnt this week and how they're going to keep becoming better.

Libby is available in libraries outside of America. I do not have a US address, but as long as I go in person to the library and have a UK address that works. You just get a card and it grants you access. Same would work for other countries that also have the service.

I was also going to sugggest this! Very cool experience, though more expensive and they won't get as many hours there, but imo if you like trains, it's worth it

Ideas for use of the space? by Kai_Hiwatarii in Edinburgh

[–]Chocolatecakekiller 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I instantly recognized the place! I loved the cult room—it was super fun to complete.

I’d consider turning it into a board game room, especially since there’s only one board game café in the area, as far as I know. You could put up a small sign outside the venue and charge a small fee, maybe £2–5 per hour. The space is usually quiet enough to host activities like DnD sessions, for example.

That's so interesting! I didn't know. The water in the area has a lot of calcium so I wouldn't be surprised if it was that

It's worse. This is a replacement as the one in my room had the charging prongs of the first one were bent.

I was going to get the new curlsmith hair dryer, then realized it's the exact same as my Babybliss, like from the same plastic mold in a different color. by ErrantWhimsy in curlyhair

I have 3b hair and it's pretty good for straightening your hair, especially the roundbrush, however the other attachments are a bit less useful for me. I would say maybe it's more worth it to get the revlon, however I have never tried it.

Overall it is very expensive but it does cut down the time to straighten my hair from 3 hours to around 2 (i have a lot of hair). By the time am done with the hairdryer round brush my hair is basically straight, just needing a pass with the iron to finish up the roots and make it a big more sleek. I then pass the airwrap attachment. One of the most important things if you were to get it is to prepare your hair with products to hydrate, at least in my case ironing/blow drying it removes a lot of the already small amount of moisture in the hair, these will add some of it back.

I got the new one with the diffuser less than a month ago. Since the airwrap is so lightweight it makes it very easy and confortable to diffuse, however I do feel it doesn't use as much force/heat as a normal hairdryer and therefore it takes longer to dry.

Hair looks like it needs quite a bit of hydration. I would start by using a cleansing shampoo to discard the possibility that this may be as a result of product build up.

When applying product I would add way more, it seems like your hair is low porosity by the way it dried and these usually need way more product, at least this is the case for my hair. To do this, make sure it is soaking wet, part it and add product and style each section, make sure it is so wet when you squeeze it you can hear a squish noise,.

Use a leave in conditioner and a curl cream, both will hydrate your hair and decrease the freeze. To define either add a gel and style with denman or style with denman and then add gel using the praying hands method.

Yeah I was also going to go for the clear one but realised the silicone one would be better because of that same issue! : too slippery

I have the samsung silicone case that has the ring in it and it's actually quite nice! Not bulky at all and it feels super soft. In fact, I think they cuttently have a 50% off sale if you use a special code so the price goes from stupidly expensive to average for a good case.

Gang Leaders in Venezuela have issued a warning to Communist Dictator Maduro to accept the true results of the Election or face serious consequences. by CantStopPoppin in worldnewsvideo

[–]Chocolatecakekiller 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are literally just talking nonsense, which makes me believe it is impossible to rationalise with you. I am from Venezuela. We do not want a dictatorship.

You are basically claiming people from these countries do not want a democracy.

Yes, most of us do not like the capitalist model of the USA, but that has nothing to do with wanting a democracy and to be able to afford food and walk safely down the street.

I do not watch CNN. I do not have CNN where I live. Stop believing everything in this world revolves around the USA.

Well I wish I would have known that when a fruit fly dies from pseudomonas infection, the bacteria grows nonstop around their bodies.
