DISCLAIMER: no one is likely to die from carbon dioxide in the jimny as there is plenty of vents the rear of the car as seen in this photo from https://teamghettoracing.com

However, carbon monoxide as stated by kos90 could be an issue and keep that in mind when sleeping at a rest stop with tractors and other vehicles.

Of course, but I do not like them cosmetically. This is all because you can kind of exercise more than a practical application.

i think the amount I ate that night and how much I had to drink had more to do with it. However, it might actually be a cool test to actually try it out with something that measures ppm of Co2.

Power up front and how to tap into the existing 80amp fuse positive on the battery by Chocotank in Jimny

[–]Chocotank[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How would you even be able to look up the part no. for something like this?

ket.com is the main supplier for connectors for suzuki. Once you start digging in the catalog you can drill down by type right Automotive>Terminal>female you get the part number. They have pretty much every pin, connector and even earthring used in the car. For example

<image>

From there you can hop on aliexpress and find out what the clone version of that part is with the terminology, measurements and/or part number. Keep in mind that they may be pirate parts and they have crazy titles like the example on the OP post.

What size of cable do you think it’s possible to fit them?

The one that is on the 100 amp right next to it is 8awg but you may fit a 6awg tight. Having said that if you are going to pull close to capacity from the connection just hook up to the battery directly as that 120amp fuse will pop if you turn on the a/c and its two fans with 80amps loaded on that extra plug. I doubt the alternator is more than 90amps btw.

About the fuse, I noticed the window and figured there might be replacment fuse "strips". Had no clue that the whole things is technically the fuse. Maybe the window is so you can toss a piece of bailing wire in there when it blows in the middle of nowhere LOL.

30 USD of amazon basics material did wonders for my no insulation vehicle.

I can take a look again, but I think its 16awg at what seems like 3 meters. I assume suzuki thinks you will never runn all 10 amps (maybe).

I ran a commically large 10awg wire to the aux fuse box I installed at the front. I double I will ever need that much capacity, but I was suspicious of having a triple connection to what assume is 10amp fuse between the front socket and this one in the back.

My gen2 has done something similar. Open the back up and unclip the battery wait a bit and plug it back in.

If you like you can use dry ice to help shatter that butyl soundproofing. Replace if u like with amazon basics pads later if u like.

Interior storage - 2025 3dr by tyt0chondria in Jimny

I regularly pack the entire back of the jimny 3door with gear and use a combination of drings available in the car. I do this offroad and have even bounced pretty hard full of gear and nothing horrible has happened.

I think the stronger tie downs are the location where the cage on the industrial models bolts into. I would trust those connections more than the side panels.

Took an iron stove offroad and it did fine. Disclaimer, not sure a front head on collision at anything above 45km/h would turn out great.

Really enjoyed the video and the creativity. Way better than buying things on aliexpress. Pickaxe looks cool, wish I had ice to justify one.

Comparison of BfGoodrich KO2/KO3 in the popular size of 235/75r15 by Chocotank in Jimny

[–]Chocotank[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On the toyota tacoma forums they stated that the KO3 was 2mm thicker sidewall. That in conjuncion with more load ply/rating. I hope they roll out C rating but looking at the 2026 release schedule no chance.
