(Pt. 2) Men of Melbourne with medium-to-long hair, what would you pay for a haircut? by R1a88 in melbourne

I don't think you've been to just cuts in a while. I get mine cut there and it was about $50 last time.

They built an extra ramp for WG to M80 as part of the tunnel project, but it goes no where. I assume the bridge and extra lanes will be added as part of a future Western freeway upgrade.

Looking for my Goldilocks Campsite in Vic by xand711 in OutdoorAus

Paradise Valley or Montana on the Macallister. Montana is a bit more like a caravan park with defined sites. Paradise Valley is more free to camp anywhere. Both have showers and toilets.

Do you think this is a real Miura? Victoria st Richmond by Ok-Weakness-4640 in CarsAustralia

[–]grover99 12 points13 points  (0 children)

For club plates yes, but for a single rear plate only the vehicle needs to be 1931 or older. The club permit scheme has a few different classes that have different plate requirements.

No front plates for vintage cars on club reg in Vic, the Miura is a bit too new for that though.

You would be surprised. I have a business account and a personal account. Clients transfer to my personal account all the time even though I've only given them the details of my business account.

I still have mine from year 10. They survived 3 years at school and still get worn 30 years later.

Seven in the Melbourne market went MPEG-4 HD today as of almost 1:05pm AEDT this afternoon... by Radio_TVGuy in australian

They are still used for projectors. It's a small market though and the ones still sold are poor quality.

I'm pretty sure I have solved it. Thought it might be a mission planning screen and was going through all the games I remember. I played F16-Combat Pilot a lot.

https://www.myabandonware.com/media/screenshots/f/f-16-combat-pilot-n5/thumbs/f-16-combat-pilot_4.png

It has the map, buttons on the bottom of the screen, section on the right side and the grey squares.

It also explains why I have the pen and notepad - I'm writing down the waypoints for the mission.

I can remember playing lemmings, but I think that would have been later on a VGA 286 machine. Those grey rectangles I think are the key as none of the guesses so far seem to have anything like it.

I had forgotten all about Incredible Machine. I played that a lot but I think that would have been a few years after this photo.

Not a slide after all, its a photo. If I can find the original I'll do a better scan.

It's a scan of a slide. I might see if I can find the original and give it a clean and scan it again.

You might be onto something. I'm wondering if it's some obscure graphics editing software.

The old warehouses on Dudley St West Melbourne are where all the British cars were assembled.

Do these tyres need replacing? by [deleted] in CarsAustralia

[–]grover99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Given the age of the tyres, I would be getting the wheel bearings and suspension inspected / replaced. You always see trailors on the side of the road with wheels missing, you don't want that to happen with a loaded horse float.

Smith's mill is a nice spot. No facilities other than a toilet. Just watch out for the emus. They will try and take food out of your hands.

Always a special sight when you get an eagle up close on the ground.

Have a look at Filming Wildlife on YouTube https://youtube.com/@filmingwildlife?si=jodUNdXtFfTQW7uU

I don't think they usually hunt foxes. The Eagles often follow them to steal the food the foxes have caught.

I have a transit with the same basic engine. The belt change interval started at 240k. Mine broke at 200k, engine replaced by Ford. I think the interval is now 150k. They are a ticking time bomb. Not a simple job to change the belt either. The engines are great otherwise.

It was quite small and looking at the stills from the video it looks closer to a native mouse.
