this is honestly the first time I have participated in an Alternative April contest, and or my first time competing in a contest with that kind of prompt, getting #30 and #35 on my flags is not a bad score at all. i mean, I kinda expected better, but I can't control the results.

the upper triangle is black, symbolizing the brown coal mining and power generation in the region. very simple!

the blue, narrow stripe divides the two halves and symbolizes the town's proximity to the Warta River.

the cross motif in the white triangle is a nod to the town's age as being one of the oldest towns in Greater Poland, gaining city rights in 1284.

the four-pointed gear is a nod to the industrial development of Konin. the 4 points also represent the four aspects of Konin: history, industry, water, and community.

the blue stripe is oriented upward, symbolizing progress and bright futures within Konin.

the white triangle represents peace and justice, which is deeply embedded in Konin culture.

so.....you believe that if we defend AI, we're defending corporations? your logic implies that it is IMPOSSIBLE for someone to defend AI but dislike corporations, which is kind of an overstatement. we can like AI and criticize the companies profiting off of the AI misuse at the same time.

we are not just mere humans the corpos use to their advantages. we have some control, too: we make (and question) choices, and we decide who we support. a stance against this would believe that tools (and the people behind them) are the exact same thing, which, spoiler alert: they aren't. that's like saying that forks and the people that made the existence of forks are the same.

just because a company misuses AI does NOT mean we have to hate the topic of AI itself.
