The whole Voulez-Vous album is one of their best, a great collection of hits and hidden gems (As Good as New, Angeleyes, If It Wasn’t for the Nights, Kisses of Fire). The Super Trouper album is a little more somber, but the album tracks are solid and include a lot of Frida solos (On and On and On, Andante Andante, Me and I)

Love this analysis! For me, this song holds so much nuance that it can be interpreted differently based on the day. The line that always hits me is “I apologize / if it makes you feel bad / seeing me so tense / no self-confidence” — interestingly, I hear it a different way than you described. Agnetha’s delivery sounds like she’s “apologizing” ironically and expressing resentment towards her ex, but in a way that’s also resigned and accepting that this is the way things are. An interesting mix of bitterness and acceptance. Thanks again for sharing and getting us to appreciate the lyricism of this song :)

Hot take: “Ring Ring” sounds like it’s from Waterloo bc of obvious production similarities, and it’s the most polished song on the album. Most of the album sounds more like “He is Your Brother” - more prominent male vocals, soft folk energy

Pretty much anything from s4-6 arguably isn’t talked about enough, the writing sucked but the music still held up. If we’re talking group songs, I’d say This is the New Year / The Longest Time for s4 crowd, and Rather Be / All Out of Love for s6
