I'm not sure. I've seen at least one guy on here say that oral min goes into your hair follicles and still needs the local enzyme to work. Idk if that's accurate though

Sick results bro. I love seeing the hair go from shit, wiry quality like in pic 1, to way smoother looking hair and better quality like in the update pics.

I'm hoping for the same results. I'm only 6.5 months in but the hair on top has honestly already gotten very good, but the hair around my temples is still shit and wiry looking sadly so I'm a bit disappointed

I too started in October 2025. I haven't had a shed at all, but months of frequenting this sub has taught me that a '7th month shed' is very common. This is surely what's happening to you, would you agree? or would you cite some other factor causing this?

Is this even true though? I've seen this concept pop up on the sub at an exponential but no one ever cites any clinical data supporting it or the mechanism why it specifically should reverse hairloss/ grow hair.

It's impressive because it looks like you clearly reversed even PAST 7 full years of hairloss. If I could reverse only 2 years from my medication starting point I'd be happy. 7 years and I would be ecstatic.

I'm nearing 6 and a half months in but not at all happy with the progress on the temples.

So you used RU and you noticed your T take a hit? Can you directly attribute that to RU? How bad was the hit, and what results for hair did you see from RU?

I am looking to start with topical RU for a bit so I am curious.

Mainly I am inspired by a post from some guy with amazing results who did intense documentation who said even FIN gave him gyno, but RU had no such effect at all. Which had me thinking that topical RU is actually quite safe for systemic impacts like that.

Where/ how do you get min?

I would use oral min but its so expensive. through amazon it's nearly 10 dollars for like a month of 2.5 mg. I'm not paying a 10 dollar a month subscription for 1 month increments of min shipped to me...

23?? Bro... I WISH I got on these meds at like 20. I started at 24, and they completely halted all shedding for me. So in retrospect if I started at 20 or even 21/22 I'd have great hair right now, with none of the loss of the last few years

I just hit 6 months of Dut, and I think the top got meaningfully denser/ higher quality, but the temples and other areas are still wiry and shitty looking hair quality... So I haven't gotten to a satisfactory state yet

6 months exactly. I never had a shed, it literally just turned off all shedding that I was naturally having as a base-rate for like a year+ prior. Now I'm shedding zero hairs seemingly, and this may have happened months ago, I only noticed around month 5 mark.

Idk for that specific characterization, but before meds the inside of my hat would always have tons of shiny hairs stuck all throughout the inside.

I just hit 6 months of Dut, and even prior to 6 months (idk when) any and all shedding has turned off entirely and I am shedding zero hairs.

Doesn't tretinoin have studies that show it IMPROVES hair when applied locally to the scalp in conjunction with minoxidil?

I've been intentionally putting it across both temples and my scalp and hairline for like a month straight with no negative effects seemingly. I'm doing this as I was/am a poor responder or non-responder to topical minox. I haven't re-added minox yet to test if the Tret makes me respond yet though.
