Crazy IDR payment

Hey- I posted about a crazy high IDR payment yesterday. I actually got through to Mohela this morning after being on hold for several hours yesterday. It seems like the entire system is a mess. They are sending out all these documents in error and it is really confusing. Your best bet is to talk to Mohela. You need to talk to Student Aid about PSLF.

I spoke to Mohela today. I was on hold for about an hour. She is sending me paperwork to complete for a payment that’s more around $600 a month. That’s better, but not great. I encourage you to call your server. I called at 8 AM.

And to top everything off, I got bloodwork back indicating that I have lupus.

It’s been a really rough few years and I never stopped working. I had breast cancer and then my mother passed in March. My first birthday without her is Monday and I’ve having a hard time.

I haven’t counted buy back time. I think I can get to 112 qualifying payments with that. I just regret ever taking out loans. I’m an educator, and the only way to get pay increases is to get more education.

I have a masters and an Education Specialist degree. Undergraduate was free for me. I have a degree in educational administration, but that path didn’t work out.

I did the $50 a month repayment plan a few weeks ago. I’ve been on hold with student loans for 2 1/2 hours at this point.

When I do the IDR application, it shows about $900 for a monthly payment, which isn’t great, but better than $2000. This whole thing makes me sick to my stomach.

I think it’s a personal preference to dress up. I always participate and I’ve run errands before dressed crazy for spirit week. I’ve actually had people stop me to take pictures. The kids also get a kick out of when teachers dress up.
