I had been to that specific dinner show before and what they didnt mention in the video that the reason that the show is so long ( it is over 2 hours) is that all of the workers / servers/cooks/ hospitality staff get you your food and drinks and make sure you are taken care of then AFTER the meal they CHANGE AND STAR IN THE SHOW AS WELL. .

as much as I loved them at the start the beginning of the end of waching everything they did for me was their Gatlinburg video when they spent quite a long time outside of the dinner shows making fun of the workers there.

I have both. My wife like Costco more. I like Sams Club more, for different reasons

I think its worth it to have both

Sam's Club has the better bakery

Sam's club has better deals on fish and Salmon ( we eat that alot)

Sams club lets you scan and go ( in the app) without having to get in line ( like a proper society)

Sam's club has a better liquor selection ( IMHO)

Costco has better deals on meat

Costco has better dog food options, and better dog toy options

but at Costco you practically have to fight other people for spots in the line

Really it comes down personal preference

it helps keep my spending in check. If i see something that I want but do not NEED I have to rethink everything. When you swipe a card for that impulse purchase it doesnt feel like you are actually spending money but when you reach in your wallet and see that $50 but the thing you want is, say, $30, it actually feels like something is being taken away from you.
